Cheap Chocolate

Hola kitties! I wanted to dictate a post about separation anxiety today but TW went and had a physical which took most of the day. Can you believe she let someone else take her bloods? I'll bet she didn't yell, curse and get mad at them like she yells at me. She said "let's do a quick post." Bully on her. So I guess we're doing a Semi Wordless Wednesday.

Cheap Chocolate

I thought you'd enjoy my new raised placemat. Of course there's a story behind it.

It's no secret the peeps are chocoholics. They don't particularly like this brand of chocolate—nor do I know who this "Russel Stover" guy is who has his name on the box—but the 52-piece box always intrigued them. It was the biggest box of chocolates they'd ever seen and the butt of many jokes around here. I don't want to tell you how big TW's butt is but she's gained even more weight which was confirmed by her weigh-in at the doctor's.

Cheap Chocolate

After Christmas, the peep discovered one of the supermarkets had this yuge box on sale for $6.49—down from it's normal price of $29.99 and it wasn't even at the expiration date. See, I told you this was cheap chocolate. It took them until March 29 but they suffered through and finished the chocolates. Chocolate is toxic for cats so I didn't even get to sniff the inside of the box.

Cheap Chocolate

TW had the bright idea to take my pic with the box to show how much larger it was than myself. I did not want to cooperate and pose so they had to use my tuna as a prop.

Have your peeps ever bought a box of chocolate this big?

Would you like to comment?

  1. That is a HUGE box! My human used to eat that stuff sometimes, but she's since switched to super-dark chocolate (often 92%!), and as a result, she's lost her taste for more sugary stuff.

  3. I've seen those big boxes, but they are always sold out before I can get one. TW probably paid them to take her bloods. Does she pay you? Cat food doesn't count. All kitties that own people get that.

  8. Wow, what a bargain! Plus I find most chocolate things last well past the suggested date anyway. I'd try to avoid buying a box that big, because I know once it's in the house it will be my new best friend. MOL

  9. WHOA now that is a box! We've never seen a box of chocolates that big. Did your peeps fight over certain flavors? Our mom loves the caramel ones.

  10. That is a huge box of chocolates and I am practically drooling over it!
I had my blood stolen yesterday and when the nurse had 3 attempts to get the vein I was almost hissing at her! I don't know what went wrong, it was the usual nurse and she usually gets the vein first time.
