Famous last words: She'll never eat that! That was TW after opening a tub of the Natural Balance® Life's a Beach® cat food with sardines, whitefish, tuna and mackerel in gravy that we received from Chewy. At first, she thought the green on top was mold till she read dried spinach in the ingredients. She's kind of stupid the way she jumps to conclusions. Knowing cats don't really need veggie's, she scraped it off and put the rest of the tub in my dish.

"She'll never eat that," she said to Pop. "I've given her other food with this rubbery texture that she hasn't even sniffed. If only it had more gravy."
Let me first say that I absolutely love most Natural Balance Delectable Delights' flavors I've tried. The Sea Brûlée is my fave. Let me also say I'm not down with most paté, at least I wasn't until a few months ago. Life's a Beach has lots of neat stuff in it besides the spinach, of course. The first ingredients are tuna broth, sardines, whitefish, tuna, carrots, pea protein, mackerel and crab. What it doesn't contain is important too: carrageenan. TW can give this to me without feeling guilty.
Guess what? I ate it! Not all of it but I liked it enough to go back to it later on. I don't know what TW was talking about and neither does she most of the time.
Delectable Delights comes in six flavors with such adorable names as O’Fishally Scampi®, Purrfect Paella®, Life’s a Beach®, Catatouille® (without fish), Land ’n' Sea Catsserole® and Sea Brûlée®. The stews are grain-free while the paté is make without corn, soy or wheat. TW wasn't happy that the tubs are 2.5 oz. rather than 3 oz. like canned cat food.
Don't forget every single Natural Balance product is backed by a Buy With Confidence guarantee to ensure our health and safety. Each production run is tested in their Burbank, CA, state-of-the-art laboratory for nine contaminants before being distributed to stores.
Life sure is a Beach and if you can't beat it—eat it! It's on sale this month at Chewy.com.
Do they have any flavors without fish?
ReplyDeleteI love it when kitties shock people with what they'll eat, hee hee. I second Summer's question as we can't do fish here. (kitties who've had crystals in their urine need to avoid fish)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds tasty. Pierre would dive head-first into that with all of the fish in it, for sure. (That sounds messy, doesn't it?)
ReplyDeleteThose names for each flavor are adorable indeed. Glad you liked the food :-)
ReplyDeleteWe are really glad you like the food, CK!! We love the Cattatoulle one. We wish they'd make more non-fishy ones. If you like this one, maybe you'll like some of the other flavors, too!

ReplyDeleteCute tongue! We can't eat Natural Balance foods because something in them upsets Dragonheart's tummy. It's too bad, because they are yummy!
ReplyDeleteSounds pretty yummy CK! Hey, I like your purple bloggy touches!
ReplyDeleteThe Farm cats were most in favor of this food too. But the Farm cats are most in favor of most foods....
ReplyDeleteGood for you for keeping the humans guessing!
ReplyDeleteWe love the Delectible Delights. We just wish they were all grain free.
ReplyDeleteLeave it to the humans to pounce to conclusions! MOL! We are big fans of fish. ♥
ReplyDeleteMmmmmmm, sounds nommy. But what does TW mean by stealing your GARNISH? I mean, someHuman put that little spinach there so cunningly to pique your interest. And TW just STOLE it! IAt least she should have let you LOOK at it! XOXOXOXO (But I 'gree that vegetables are NG).
ReplyDeleteGreat interview CK. Mom would like to try Life's a Beach but its not in our town yet.
ReplyDeleteShoko
Sounds tasty, but I agree, why put veggies in it. Sometimes there are carrots or green beans in my food and I never eat them.
ReplyDeleteWowee, CK! We know you have a discerning palate, so that stuff much rock!
ReplyDeleteGreat review. We're glad you liked it!
