Newsday Tuesday

This is your Roman Reporter, CK, coming to you from our condo retreat. I’m wearing my hat cos it’s around 5ºF this morning, with a wind chill that’s something like -25ºF.  It’s been a busy news week.

Our top story is a feel-good story. My furrend Jessie is alive and well and living on an Australian farm with Jane’s niece. There are other cats so Jessie, having been an only cat, is a little stressed. If it doesn’t work out, she’ll be going to live with her Uncle Hugh, who will spoil her like she should be spoiled. More intimate details can be found on the Keely and Thomas blog.

Doug E. Fir has left the building and the only one who was sad was Pop. I got my cat trees back and can now look out the window again. TW is happy cos she had an allergy and was sneezing, coughing and had a runny, stuffed-up nose the entire time Doug E. spent with us.

In other related news, the peeps have seen the error of their ways and the Tree of Pain has returned! It has apparently been washed and the sisal replaced. [Ed. note: this is Tree of Pain Too.] This is my favorite cat tree in the world cos it was my first. The peeps say one of my other trees will have to go. Maybe I’ll have a vote here or on my FB page. They have collected a lot of MY stuff to send to A Call 4 Paws in the next week or so.

What the heck is this?

I'll have the steak and shrimp

CK GETS DISSED! Some of you may have seen this bit of news on FB. It’s appalling and shouldn’t be read by anybuddy with a squeamish tummy. The peeps went off to BJ’s Sunday and all I got was a couple boxes of litter and a box to lay in. They’ve got to do better than that. I can appreciate that the box says Seafood Medley on it but, Woman, I just won a new bed. Remember? We blogged about it yesterday.  Apparently, they used this box to carry all the little stuff in.

They didn’t even bring me a kitty bag from the restaurant they had lunch at. I heard there was STEAK on the menu although they didn’t have it but rumor has it, there was BACON on TW’s sammich.

BREAKING NEWS: This just in to the newsroom! Cathy Keisha becomes the newest member of the Tabby Cat Club! Yes, I have tabby stripes on my tail.

That’s it from da hood. Stay indoors and keep warm. Until next time, This has been CK, your Roman Reporter. Peace out.

  5. Yikes CK....it's cold there alright. Good thing you and I are indoorsy cats. That's a whole lot of news to be reporting but then again you're a "happenin' cat" so there's bound to be lots. One thing I'm SUPER happy to hear is that you're now in the TCC! Welcome to this area of the hood CK!

  11. That is a lot of news to take in.
I think I'll go lie down in my bed.

  12. I think we now qualify for the Tabby Cat Club, too, since Russell became and new family member. I will have to check it out. Stay warm my friends!

  13. Roman Reporter, you got it goin' on girl! Sisal repair is OBVIOUSLY breaking news. And we wonder if Crimestoppers should know about the Litter purchase, or should we say LACK OF FOOD purchase?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Oh CK, love your hat! After you don't need it, would you mind borrowing it to me? You see, I have a very soft spot for furry stuff... I would sure like to play with it a bit!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Yes, indeed, it's bitterly cold out there, Roman Reporter CK! Your hat looks warm and toasty -- we may have to get some of those.

Thanks for all the updates. We're especially happy that Jessie is doing well. And hurray for the Tree of Pain's return!

Welcome to the Tabby Cat Club! We never knew you had tabby stripses on your tail. Cool! When Moosey wears a hat, it's hard to tell he's a tabby unless you can see the tabby spots on his body, so we totally get it. :)

    Peace!

  16. We were glad to hear about Jessie earlier to today. It was 0 degrees this a.m. when Mom first got up at 6:30. The pipes to our kitchen sink have frozen and are still that way. It didn't get warm enough today for them to thaw out. Probably by Thursday. Sorry you didn't get any good noms when your humans went shopping and dining out. We only get cat food and treats. Purrs and Hugs to all, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  17. We're so happy Jessie has been found and will be taken care of. That was a big worry. Now CK, you need to put your peeps on probation - they need to bring you more noms and lay off of their other stuff. What are they thinking!

    ReplyDelete
  18. We saw the good news about Jessie and the terrific news that you joined the Tabby Cat Club!!!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Your hat looks purrrrfect for this weather, CK. So good to read that Jessie is safe and with family. We know how many of you were worried about her, and it's touching that Jane's family has come to know a little more about how many people care about her and Jessie.

    ReplyDelete
  20. CK, TW should have brought you that box only if it was filled with Seafood Medley. What was she thinking?

    Glad Jessie is safe.

  22. That is great news...purticularly about your cat tree. Ours needs to be repaired. Mommy retightened the screws, but it needs new sisal...Someday...

  24. Oh, we're so happy for Jessie!!!
But what's up with coming home from a restaurant with no goodies? Have had any revenge thoughts?

    ReplyDelete
  25. I'm almost afraid to ask, CK, but what the $^#% is "BJ's"?

    ReplyDelete
  26. You are great reporter, CK :-) The news about Jessie is wonderful. The box saying Seafood Medley is misleading. There should be good shrimp waiting for you in there!
