Wednesday Word—Mature

TW thinks I'm looking like a senior cat these days. She says I don't play as much and it made her sad to see the fotos on my blog earlier this week. She's even excusing me of having grey fur mixed in with my, er, grey fur. I say WTF??? What is she implying about the World's Most Stunning Cat? Just cos she's older than dirt, she shouldn't pass mustard about this cat. I'm shocked that she hasn't ordered me a walker or signed me up for Social Security yet.

Since I'm a rescue from two different institutions, we don't know exactly how old I am. My Gotcha Day is 1/29/06. At the beginning, the peeps took me to the vet where I was brought for my Ladygardenectemy. They gave my peeps two different dates for my "birthday." The first one they gave was May 1, 2003. I'm here to tell you, I was NOT born in 2003. When the peeps took me home, I was the size of a cat no older than 6 months. The last time I was taken there, they put wrote September 8, 2005, which would have made me 4 months old at the time of adoption, which again didn't really make sense because my Petfinder bio said I was about a year old. I don't think I'm a senior cat. I'm gonna let YOU decide how old you think I am. I don't want TW overreacting once again. You already know how hysterical and shrill she can get.

I've presented the stunning evidence and now I ax you, ladycats and gentlecats of the jury, am I becoming as old and washed up as TW? Whadda you mean, Woman, that it would be easier to tell with closeups?? Objection overruled!! I ax that TW's comment be stricken from the record books and she banished from the courtroom. The jury will now adjourn to the jury room to decide with their comments.

I'm not vain or nothing; but, be honest, do you think this little ghetto kitteh is ready for a nip and tuck?

Um, we are ALL older than you, CK, and none of us think we are old! In fact Binga has the crazies several times a week and she will be 13 in August! So tell your human she doesn't know what she's talking about.

Stunning is ageless. You do look like you were young when you were in those petfinder photos, so they may be overestimating your age now.

CK you look more stunning every day. They didn't know how old I was either, but they guess I was about 4 when I was adopted in October 2009. Yikes, M just passed out cuz she didn't realize I was that old now - that makes me a senior at 8! I'd better go for a nap before I keel over! Oh, tell TW I has white hairs on my black fur on the rump that were never there before - lots of them too.

We are thinking you are looking mighty fine and stunning, of course. You look pretty much the same from your first photo to the recent one. We don't know how old you were in the first one, but you definitely looked more like a one-year-old than a four-month-old. We think you've found the Fountain of Youth. You look stunning with lovely eyes and beautiful coat. You do look better than ever! My boys got different birthdays from different vets, too, but not more than one year apart like you. But, um, TW can't say you are looking senior because of gray fur. Hahaha.

I think you look young CK! Although I saw that pic on FB and I think it was just the camera playing tricks on y'all. I see what TW is talking about with that pic I think. Your first picture here you look about 6-9 months old to me.

I think your Woman is doing what the Freudians call "projecting," as you clearly already realize. You look as stunning in the last photo as you do in the first!!!

I was born in 2004 and *I* am still a studmuffin at NINE.

I will send my Human to the online sources you mention. I would only consider your generous offer as a desperate last resort as I understand how important our smousies are to us.
