Feral Friday Flashback: Christmas Rapping

Hola kitties! No, I'm not about to sing that song about "So deck those halls, trim those trees, Raise up cups of Christmas cheer" and all about Christmas rapping. How was your Thanksgiving? Our's was uneventful. Instead of cooking a turkey, the peeps made homemade stuffings and bought slabs of real turkey breast luncheon meat.

Feral Friday Flashback: Christmas Rapping

The original plan was turkey sandwiches with homemade stuffing an inch thick but they wound up cooking mushrooms, Brussel sprouts and yams to round out the dinner. TW's homemade pumpkin pie and some sparkling apple cider completed the meal. I had a few pieces of the turkey but the peeps cut me off cos they said it was too salty. Bah!

How about a flashback from December 2013 to get you in the holiday spirit? These are stunning pics that were never used.

Feral Friday Flashback: Christmas Rapping

Why aren't these presents opened yet? I need the wrapping paper for an experiment I'm doing. Heh! I'm gonna have to unwrap them myself.

Feral Friday Flashback: Christmas Rapping

This is better than Christmas morning. Oh, yeah, it *is* Christmas morning.

Feral Friday Flashback: Christmas Rapping

Who made this mess? Woman, clean it up!

Friendly fill-ins

Let's answer some Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs—need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are boldface. This week my image relates to number two.

Feral Friday Flashback: Christmas Rapping

1. I don't like vegetables in my food. Cats ain't supposed to eat them cos we can't digrest [sic] them but there they are. I'll drink some of the pumpkin soup but won't eat any chunks of pumpkin and leave most of the other veggies.

2. My to-do list for December includes: sleeping, biting and making my list and checking it twice. Not necessarily in that order. I'm also yelling at the peeps for not doing the stuff they're supposed to. I'll bet—and mark my words—they won't get the tree up, have the cards written or put the Christmas tablecloth on. Note: they've had the tree and cards for weeks.

3. I still need to finish opening my Advent Calendar before Christmas. Once again I have my very own FF Advent Calendar with a new can of food every day. The peeps have one from a local candy place only their's doesn't contain cat food. I also need to look at my Catmas Eve set list. Don't even ax how much the peeps still need to do before the end of the year. See #2 for starters. HAH!

4. To me, #CatmasEve is the most important part of the holiday season. I'll be back spinning tunes again this year if TW doesn't screw things up since she's starting some new trial treatment. Cod knows how it will affect her. I believe this year's pawty benefits Black Cat Rescue again.

Caturday art

No time for art this week so I pulled a sketch from the archives that I've never features.

Feral Friday Flashback: Christmas Rapping

Caturday Art is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to showcase how talented us anipal artists are. We can use the many different digital apps, Photoshop or share original art.

  1. That is a lovely sketch. I posted all my overseas cards this morning. I needed to do it early because Royal Mail is on strike 2 days a week so I have to work out the best days to post. Flynn didn't like veggies in his cat food either. He would leave neat piles of carrots and peas around the edge of his dish, then Eric would come along and eat them.

  2. Your sketch is cool, I think it's one of my favorites. I'm glad that you got some turkey on Thanksgiving. My cat, Jake Housepanther, doesn't like vegetables either but he loves this one food that is in a tomato sauce. I still need to order some cards with Jake on them and mail them out. It looks like you had fun opening all those presents. Was it more fun opening them or telling TW to clean up the mess? Sending good thoughts for everyone in the townhouse.

  5. Fun flashback, CK!
The best part of wrapping paper is the tape, because you can get cat hair stuck there.
Off to puzzle, enjoying your lovely art...thank you.

  7. Hello, Meow. Well, I guess I eat my vegetables, I just purrtend it is fish that it orange, green or red. I am not picky, at least not yet. Mine Mommy says that's why I am "hanging low" these days. I don't have much to say this week, she left me alone and went to a place called ER and they kept her there. They told her she was dehydrated badly cause she dint eat or drink for many many days but I don't know why, now she is weak and tired and ignoring me. Maybe I'll give her those vegetables, you think? I hope your Mommy's new treatment is good stuff and works good, my paws will go together for that, for her, OK? I like the old archive art, that is what we did today too, cause she was too tired to do new art stuff. That happens when you're old (her, not me). Anywayz, I got to go now and get those veggies for her. Bye with a hug and some luv. JUNE

  8. Love your flashback photos and the caturday art from before photo that's a cool effect. Good to hear you didn't eat dat salty turkey either. Our humans don't like salty turkey and they won't give us any salty stuff either. Well, maybe a tiny tiny piece of ham once in a while. But only one of us eats it. MOL

  12. Oh Keisha, you are a cheeky girl! I take it when you want something, you get it. It's one thing to unwrap, but how do you unrap? Play the mewsic backwards or something? Your Caturday Art is stunning, but still can't beat your look au naturel. Love the bold PURRimary colours, though, and the art naif approach.

  13. Your Thanksgiving sounds like it was pretty good, CK. Sorry they cut you off on the bird. That's messed up, but yeah, you have to watch that salt.

"Who made this mess? Woman, clean it up!" MOL!

Love and hugs to you, TW, and Pop.
