Hola kitties and Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukkah! Happy Festivus! Merry Winter
Soltice! Happy Kwanzaa! Thank you for all your lovely cards! Every day I make Pop walk down those four flights of stairs and get the mail. We're cheap so we're sharing my card here.
Today is Festivus. I like Festivus since I get to air all my grievances over the past year but we didn't make Festivus cards to share. We made Christmas and holiday cards. Our Christmas cards were designed by TW before Halloween and written last last week. They were mailed this Monday. Sigh! I've gotta find better help.

Feel free to help yourself to whichever card you like. Or take both of them.
I've received such beautiful cards this year both snail mail and e-mail. Cos
of the peeps' financial woes, they sent the cards to their family and furrends
and told me I had a send virtual ones. It sucks that you guys can't all be
holding a real card rather than a virtual one. Tis the season for imposters,
including cards.
Friendly Fill-ins
Let's answer some Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs—need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are boldface. This week my image relates to number one.1. My favorite holiday tradition is Christmas cards. I love seeing the cards from all my friends whether they're virtual or paper. This year so many of you have made such creative, lovely cards. Thank you so much.
2. On Christmas (or Hanukkah) I plan to fill up on treats. I just received my Secret Paws' package and know it will contain treats. This year I'll make TW open them up. She usually makes me wait. Bah! The peeps have already filled up on cookies and oreo Coquito. They started Christmas early so why shouldn't I?
3. 'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house The Cat was wailing and keeping everyone awake. Yeah, I do that every night. Pop says when I sing the songs of my people, I sound like Aretha Franklin. Last night I did the 20-minute extended-release version of "Respect."
4. Playing with The Cat is the best way to spread holiday cheer. TW and I have a new game we play with the shmousy laser. I gallop from one end of the hall to the other and back again. It spreads cheer cos it makes the peeps laugh and laugh. They say I'm a little heavy on my feet. TW wants to capture it on video but I won't play if I see the flashy box.
Caturday Art
Our cards are art by themselves. I come up with a theme and TW looks for
public domain images from our depositphotos subscription and clipart to use.
Of course the most important part is looking for the right image of The Cat. I
approve the card quote and the inside text. After she puts them all together
in Photoshop, we look for a good sale on printing.
I tried my hand at improving the card but I think it's a fail. I'm using the more colorful one as the puzzle.
Caturday Art is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to showcase how talented us anipal artists are. We can use the many different digital apps, Photoshop or share original art.
Good morning. Is it snowing and blowing? Cold. Off topic: mine Mommy says she was happy that your return address label had a red/white stripe ornament, she told me it was "just for her", but I was not happy as I did not see a blue/white polka dot one for me! What the ... Also: I did warn the Pops it was not worth the up/down those stairs to get our card, no winning lotto, money or prize was inside. Guess he did not pay attention, huh? I do like your artsy-card, but since when did cats like to get into boxes? Never heard of such a thing. May give it a try in the new year. (that's a joke, are you laughing) I'm getting under a blanket soon, my rather strange mom still has our windows open as the temperature is going down down down and the wind blowing in in in. Help me please, send help. Maybe she put "something" in her coffee this morning, ya think? Sigh. Leaving now. Happy tomorrow day before Santa and happy next day, the day he has come and you get to open your purrsents. After than you can go back to being a bad kitty once again, you know, putting on the bitey and stuff. Much more fun, Meow, June (and mine Mommy says luv ya)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the cards; wishing you and yours only the very best this season and in 2023, CK.
ReplyDeleteIt's bitter and windy here; may just nap the day away like the cats are doing!
But first, off to puzzle...lovely art!
I love all the cards and the Caturday Art, too. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all! CK, you couldn't have chosen a better singer to sound like! I adore Aretha Franklin!

ReplyDeleteYour cards are beautiful. I like that we can see your reflection in the ornaments. I agree that TW should open your presents early. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I love seeing everyone's cute kitties on cards too. Maybe not sing tomorrow- go with Silent Night. :) Hope you and your folks have a beautiful Christmas. XO

ReplyDeleteYou aren't a simple thing, Keisha. You are very complex and interesting. Your card could also be used on Boxing Day. A two-fur! And your art is very colourful and full of texture. Not simple at all. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteYour cards are so beautiful. Thank you so much, CK (and TW and Pop). Wishing you the happiest of holidays, and sending much love as always. XO Ava, Kevin and Tracey

ReplyDeleteYour cards are beautiful and the art is beautiful as effurr😸
Meowy Catmas sweetie, we hope your day is EPIC!
ReplyDeleteVirtual holiday cards are the best. They're fun, creative, and they don't get misplaced by the postal service. We also run up and down the hall chasing the evil red dot, and Mom tried to take a video, but it doesn't work very well. We're super fast and she's too slow following us with the camera. We hope you are having a fantastic holiday season. Bust open those treats and enjoy (but not so much you make yourself sick).
ReplyDeleteLovely cards! Warm purrs and Happy Meow-o-Days from Deb and the Zee/Zoey gang
ReplyDeleteHi CK, I finally bit my Mom hard enough to come and help me with commenting. We DID read you post last week (in bed on the ) and the tablet does not like to let us comment so we were to come back and write, but then we got snow, and Mom had to shovel and then more (and more shoveling) and yet again! Mom was out shovelling the back side walk this morning (as the meter reader will be coming this week and we have to have a shovelled path)...At least with all that shovelling I know that Mom is getting a great cardio workout! We have more snow falling from the sky right now...We had a terrific Christmas, Mom and Alex sat around in their PJs most of the day, we had roast beast and watched 2 Die Hard Movies. Mom and Alex talked to the families stuck at their houses across the country and we all had a fabulishious time. Mom got some squeezie stuff (this stuff is made by Temptations) and I LOVE it (Koz and Jo Jo won't touch it) which makes me happy! A special friend like you deserves a special New Year's wish. I am so thankful you’re in my life, and I hope your holiday is filled to the brim with happiness and delight. Head Bonks from your #1 Fan Boy. Purrs Marv
ReplyDeleteThanks CK for the card, we didn't mail any out either, Mummy said that the postal service here has gone to the rubbish bin this year with all the strikes they have been doing. Anyway I hope you had a splendid Christmas xoxo Little Miss Titch
ReplyDeleteCK, our Christmas season is never complete without seeing your festiveness. Your card is of course all shades of stunning! Oh, and Eddy agrees with you on the fact that wailing and keeping the humans awake is the only proper way to spend the night. Eddy hopes you did just that on Christmas Eve, because she sure did. Purrs and Merry (belated) Christmas!
