Last week I mentioned how I used to love to climb and jump. Well, these photos taken last week show this little ghetto kitteh still climbs and jumps. She still has the moves. TW just had to dissuade me from jumping from the counter to on top of the refrigerator. After a brief standoff, she picked me up and threw me on the floor. [Ed. note: No "throwing" occurred. No cat was injured although she would have been had she tried that impossible jump and missed.] Don't listen to the "Ed." I was calculating my jump very carefully.
I wanted a pic just to show how well my jumping and climbing skills still are. I can jump way up here easily from the low pink perch which is about 18 inches away. OK, I jump to the perch outside the condo and climb from there. As you can see, I have CK's Royal Army guarding my condo—peeps on the sides and Grumpy Cat on top. This is my home away from home and I keep it well protected.
I got a bird's eye view out the window. Excuse me while I
Whoa! My paw needs a washing. There are just so many fun things to do up here. Too bad TW captured them all in soft focus. Yeah, yeah, Woman, I know you were trying not to flash me.
Friendly Fill-ins
It's now time for the Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs—need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are boldface. This week my image relates to fill-in number two.1. I never thought I would have a forever home until I hitched a ride with these old geezers (and they let me stay). Well, at least Pop did.
2. Biting is the key to good dental health. It's true. I'm a biting cat. I'm up there in age and have only needed one dental cleaning in my life. We're not even sure I needed that one when I was very young since my former evil v-e-t ordered unnecessary and expensive procedures just to get humans' green papers.
3. I'm happy to announce that The Woman is still alive and kicking. Next week is the anniversary of her fateful trip to the ER which led to the beginning of the end. She's sad cos another blogger who was diagnosed at the same time lost her battle recently.
4. My Tower of Power condo is like a second home to me. HAH! I was actually gonna say my first home is like a second home to me. It's not like I travel extensively.
Caturday Art
Who? Me? That is the look on my face in this Autumnal painting. The brushstrokes and colors would make it seem I'm on an outdoor ledge with lush green foliage behind me and crops below me.I've been axed how I create my art. Would you believe this little ghetto kitteh paints it? We use different desktop programs and then add personal touches in PhotoShop like the piece above. We used DreamScope almost exclusively until they refused to produce unless they got paid. I don't pay to play.
Caturday Art is hosted by the lovely
Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty
and her mum to showcase the latest art by anipal artists using the many
different digital apps, Photoshop or original art.
Let's put on our zoot-suits and head to Broadway! CAB is a Boh-more son and we luvs him, too ... we'll leave your geezers and mine behind, find Minnie Moocher and have the best weekend EVER!!!
ReplyDeleteDid you get a new blog layout or has it been that long since I've visited last? Probably the later. I'm so mixed up being on summer hiatus and making the circuits once a week. I try to pop in on my peeps when I take the time to look at my email but that's not getting my attention much these days. Oh well...your condo is amazing! I'm afraid of heights so you won't have to worry about this CAThy invading your space. Hmmm, so biting is healthy for kitties. I didn't know this but it makes sense. Well...I'm happy you have a forever home and that you won over the old geezers but you might not want to let them hear you calling them that. HA! Have purrtastic weekend, little furriend!
ReplyDeleteWe are glad to read that TW is still around for you to bite, CK.
ReplyDeleteSweetie bites too, but she has no teeth.
Her former human, the bad person who allowed her outside without spaying her, must have used their hands with her.
Love your art; will puzzle soon!
Such a fun post CK and fabulous answers too. We always love your art. Tell TW we think about her each and every single day.
ReplyDeleteAh, CK we've had a few kitties who liked to climb too! We had to help a few down on occasion, but we won't say too much about that.
ReplyDeleteGood answers and we're thinking about TW and always send purrs.
I really love your art! I was a painter and mixed media artist but can't do that anymore due to illness. I've thought of trying the digital art effects as I've seen you and others do such marvelous things with them. But I have no more photo space or wiggle room for editing at the moment.
ck; even tho we due knot like de subject ...."matter".....we troo lee DUE likes photoz two....even hover mouz haz de burd werd....YOW~~~~and ya noe.....we never thinked oh bitin as kinda like ...flossin :) ♥♥☺☺ and pleez ta tell TW herz gonna win thiz fite....ore R namez knot trout ♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteMellow? That looks like a wild jive!
ReplyDeleteI am glad TW is still alive and kicking. We both are! I send my best wishes to her.
Lovely art, and thanks for the puzzle.
Beautiful art! I heard about Christina and just couldn't believe it. Purrs that TW stays alive and kicking for a long, long time to come! Not a day goes by we don't think about her. Mudpie has gotten SO cautious about her jumping over the past year or so. She used to be crazy pants in the things she would try but now she analyzes a jump from every angle before taking the plunge. (I'm trying to remember if I have that snowman Grumpy Cat...SO CUTE!!!)
ReplyDeleteYou’re just a kitten at heart, CK! Paws up to TW for this one year anniversary!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, you still have the moves. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers except the ER part and the other blogger losing her battle, so sad. If biting could help my cats not need dentals, I would gladly get bitten. Very pretty art. Thank you for the puzzle. XO
ReplyDeleteHooray for TW's one year anniversary. I think about her often and send healing thoughts. CK, I know that you could have made that jump. How rude to be "thrown" to the floor. You'll have to get an attorney at paw to sue. Great artwork as always. Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteWe are glad to hear TW is still around, but are sorry she is sad ((Hugs)) for TW and lots of healing Mojo. Scylla still makes "impossible" jumps occasionally but with her arthritis in her hind legs she usually prefers to claw her way to wherever she wants to be. Mom gets really annoyed when Scylla tries to use her leg as an anchor. Your artwork was fantastic, it does indeed look as if you were outdoors.
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you are still jumping and biting. I don't jump so much but I do enjoy giving Mum some playful bites sometimes.
ReplyDeleteLove the art!
Who knew that the key to clean teeth was biting?? We're going to try it!
ReplyDeleteFun artwork and thanks for the puzzle.
Cool painting, CK! Binga was jumping and running and causing trouble till the last few weeks of her life... and my human let her too.
ReplyDeleteFirst, we want you to know how happy we are that TW is still making us laugh. We LOVE her to bits! And you too CK! Your antics, especially the leaping, bounding and biting makes you my hero! And your painting ROCKS! Actually, your art always makes us happy!
ReplyDeleteA really great painting, CK!
ReplyDeleteWe also like jumping to high places (and We hope Our skills will bring Us Gold in the Cat-O-Lympics later this week).
Awesome painting, CK. And we bet you could still jump up on that fridge if you wanted to. Like you said, you were planning it out, right? Please tell TW we send our love, and are thinking about her lots. XO
ReplyDeleteThose are some fun photos and great fill-ins. I'm very happy that TW is around for you to practice good dental health.
ReplyDeleteCK, your action shots are like a blockbuster action movie! Look at you go! And we are sending all of our good thoughts and well wishes to TW. Purrs!
