Hola kitties! The Cat is back! Back from where? Who knows. I do know it's all
about de feet today. Not deFEAT cos everyone knows how much I hate losing.
This is a new set of pics TW took on Tuesday. This is supposed to be the last
day of our oppressive heat wave. Did you know when they give the heat index,
that's what it feels like in the shade? When it's 105 in the shade, what does
it feel like in the sun?
It's a good day for a nice, cold bath. We're back to the bad old days of
the pandemic so one has to clean and sanitize their feets. The peeps have always noted what a clean cat I am. I'm always washing my furz.
First we start on this foot.
Then we move to that foot. TW loves it when I sit like a human like I am here. Then again she loves me in any pose except with my teeth on her.
Friendly Fill-ins
It's now time for the Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time,
which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs—need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They
think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are boldface. This
week my image relates to fill-in number one. The bookcase is the tallest piece
of furniture in the condo.
1. I used to love playing jumping and climbing as a
child kitten. I didn't much care for toys and didn't get my
first tunnel and some of what became my fave toys until I was about five or
six. That doesn't mean I didn't have fun. After I joined social media, I found
out about all the cool stuff like Skinneez shmousies, tunnels and tall cat
trees. I still love jumping—just not up to the top of the bookcase or door
anymore.
2.When it gets hot, I don't feel too good. I start retching and sometimes coughing. When the pressure drops before and during thunderstorms, it can cause my asthma to attack me.
3. Hiding under the bed was the moment I realized I was safe in a furever home. Like every other cat, when the peeps let me out of the PTU the day I came home, I ran under the bed. Everything was new for me. This little ghetto kitteh was home.
4. Biting is a simple pleasure that I really enjoy. How could I answer anything else?

Caturday Art
Yesterday was Vinyl Record Day so I took the liberty of painting some art with
my vinyl records. The first one is a painting and the second is kinda
different. It's more multimedia.
I had a lot of fun slopping color after color and using shadings on this one. A DJ must keep careful watch on the vinyl.
Hope you like this one. OK, you better like this one. I call it Let's Play Some Music. All these records to choose from. Why wouldn't I over lay sheet music to convey my point?
Caturday Art is hosted by the lovely
Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty
and her mum to showcase the latest art by anipal artists using the many
different digital apps, Photoshop or original art.
Your art is spectacular every week!
ReplyDeleteBeing overly hot is awful, and since our area had bad storms in the last week, lots and lots of folks have no power...very scary.
Thank you very much for your kind comments for The PO'M.
He's left a large hole in our hearts and in our day-to-day lives...well, he was a rather round mancat.
Thorough clean-up, CK! And I really like that art! Both versions are engaging is such different ways. Cheers and Meows from the kitties and me!
ReplyDeleteHaha..sitting like a human! I had to look again and sure enough, you do!! I clean myself pretty often, but not as much as Bridget and Penny do. Must be a guy thing..gotta have a little grit and spit aging on furs!! Great art, as usual. Always look forward to your colorful presence in my world! - #1 fan of the Keisha, Tom xoxo
ReplyDeleteThose are some cute feet shots. Woodrow has taken notes. He works very hard on his feet.

Your answer of biting is like Raz always answering TREATS!!! Nice artwork. We like them both. Thanks for the puzzles.
ReplyDeleteYou do look adorable cleaning your feets. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I had a feeling biting would be your #4. :) Sounds like you have always known how to have fun. I am sorry about your asthma. A few of my cats puke right before it rains- strange. I love both of you art pieces, but my favorite is the musical one. Thank you for 2 puzzles- you are spoiling us. XO
ReplyDeleteLove the art with your records! This heat has just been disgusting. Great bathing shots, CK. It's funny, Mudpie isn't a huge bather. She's always super clean and yummy smelling, but she seems to only wash what needs washing at the time MOL.
ReplyDeleteI like how you’re giving yourself a spit shine, CK. It’s been really hot here too…but supposed to cool down for the weekend. Thank cod.
ReplyDeleteCool art, CK! My human says she hasn't really noticed any difference between when things were open and when they got restrictive again because she hasn't changed what she does for the past year and a half. She ate in a restaurant once, on her birthday, and that's been it. Outside a couple of times.
ReplyDeleteYou keep yourself very clean. Flynn used to sit like that too, and often he would sit more like a pervy old man! I like both versions of your art. Thanks for the puzzles. I still haven't done last week's yet. We have had a busy two weeks with friends down for a week, and now we have just come back from a 4 day cruise to nowhere with everyone double vaxxed and Covid tested.
ReplyDeleteLove your art!
ReplyDeleteMum an I are not fans of hot weather.
Keisha I am a fan of clean feet they are how we touch the world and should always be pristine! Like your Art and think the second one looks thoughtful. Great fill ins as it helps us get to know you. I was just the opposite out right away and feeling safe with my new Dad. We used to have bitey games too. Not hard but fun.
ReplyDeletePurrs
Nice art ! That's some serious cleaning feet workout, CK ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteCK! Your post this week is purrfect! I love your fill in answers! I, Marv, spent most of the first year of my life in a small room in a vet hospital in Tehran. I did not have a whole lot to play with so when I moved to Canada and to Mom's Townhouse, all of Queen Penelope's things were very exciting! And the best thing was moving here, to Midway. I LOVE my yard! And playing with the mice and voles. We hope you don't have too much heat and that both You and TW feel terrific this week!
ReplyDeleteNicely done with that cleaning, CK. And we enjoyed your answers (well, not the one about how the heat makes your asthma act up), and your art is fab, as always.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you, TW and Pop!
We love both pieces of art, CK. We love the sheer colourfulness of the furrst one - but, being the mewsical kitties we are, we also love the second one, and so does Mummy because she is furry fond of mewsic, as you know.
ReplyDeleteWe do sooooooo sympathise with you about the heat! It's terrible here, too!
And of course we adore the pics of you cleaning your feets. That goes without saying, doesn't it?
Even your toebeans are stunning! No surprise there. Your artwork is wonderful this week. The one with the sheet music is really awesome! I don't feel good in the heat either, I'm hoping for an early autumn.
ReplyDeleteCK, you even make bathing look stunning. And thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! Have you been enjoying a lot of your simple pleasure lately?
ReplyDeleteCK...you are, as always a stunner! Mom said to tell you she was hoping for less horking and so far, there has been. They say these type dishes help. I believe they do. By the way, I love that last shot over the shoulder look. Your gorgeous physique is shown to an advantage!
ReplyDeleteYou should be in the cat Olympics in the bathing event!
ReplyDeleteOh, I really like your Let's Play Some Music art. That should be a note card.
