There's something about this photo that's not right. Do you see it? I know it's dark and we shrank the pic so it would be optimized for Mr. Google although it's clearer in the lead pic. I'm standing on the table along with an empty box of Christmas balls. I must have been snoopervising the trimming of the tree. Behind me, there is garland hanging from the cabinet in this pic from December 2011.
Still don't see it? I'll tell you. The peeps still have an Easter tablecloth on the table. What happened to the Christmas tablecloth? They are such slackers.
Friendly Fill-ins
Now it's time to join the Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs—need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are underlined and in italics. This week my image relates to fill-in number two.2. I sing like a diva. After the lights dim, my song begins. I put my heart and soul into it. The aria starts low somewhat guttural and reaches a crescendo of howls and yowls. The audience is on their feet—or at least they better be running in to walk me to my kibble.
3. I secretly like to be kissed on the head. You didn't read that here. Yeah, the peeps have an inkling that this is the case.
4. Hearing/reading about missing kitties wears me out. House cats are just that—house cats. Every day on Next Door we read about someone who's "indoor/outdoor" kitty hasn't come home. Some of these cats haven't even been neutered/spayed. Humans can be so irresponsible. We live in an urban area. There are dangers—dogs, poison, cars, etc. People leave poison out for the skunks and other critters that share our streets and some cats and dogs have gotten very sick and at least one died. We're not in the country somewhere.
Caturday Art
I call this piece "Are Cats Electric?" cos I'm sparking all over the place. Maybe I'm wired for sound or I have a great idea to share. I think you'll enjoy doing the puzzle.Caturday Art is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to showcase the latest art by anipal artists using the many different digital apps, Photoshop or original art.
My human gets so upset when she sees missing cat notices too. Especially because we live in coyote country, and they think cats are great prey!
ReplyDeleteP.S. My human does not even have a Christmas tablecloth, much less one for Easter. So who's the real slacker around here?
ohhh your artwork is beeeeautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThose were good answers. Yes, we see those things about missing pets on Nextdoor too, some humans are just too stupid to have furry family members. Love your art CK!
ReplyDeleteSpectacular Artwork, CK! Good answers, the second one really made me laugh. I get upset about the missing kitty notices too and always repost them.
ReplyDeleteI knew it! You like being kissed on the head. The secret is out! I'm texting everyone I know!
ReplyDeleteWell you know it could also have been Easter and you still have the tree up with balls. Hee Hee. Love your Electric Art! Purrfect and good answers. We had such a bad time last time and the new vet is a wallet prober. Sigh
ReplyDeleteSorry the comments made TW cry yesterday, but everyone loves her
ReplyDeleteMyself included) and wants her to know we care. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I know you are a big softie , but don't like anyone to know. I would love to hear you sing. :) Very cool art. Thank you for the puzzle. XO
I am sorry the comments made TW cry, but is because we all love her, and you and Pop too of course. I don't have a Christmas tablecloth but I do have a Christmas runner. It is still on the table and it is staying there because I like it. You can't enjoy it if it is packed away!
ReplyDeleteYour art is lovely and sparkly. You look a real live wire!
Hi CK! We LOVE your photos this week! We eat on the table, if we don't like the tablecloth, it gets shredded. The Christmas Tablecloth got bought at the dollar store and we shredded it. We made Mom buy a cushier one. It lasted until it was Easter and she put on spring one. And Kozmo sings at night...are you two doing duets using the tunnel? Your Caturday art ROCKS!!! Our Mom is totally enamoured. She says it is gorgeous! We hope you have a marvellously happy week and we send TW Virtual hugs!
ReplyDeleteWe have a neighbor with several cats and one is always going missing on her. Such irresponsibility drives me crazy! (Kisses on the head are the best! --MP)
ReplyDeleteMidnight sings like a diva too. Though she’s blind she actually can get around fairly well if she is alone, but if a human is around to serve her she bursts out in song. Very loud, continuous song.
ReplyDeleteLove the art!
ReplyDeleteI hate the vets too. I bite Mum so she can't get me into the carrier.
We love that artwork, CK. And yeah, it really upsets us, too, when we regularly see posts and notices about lost pets. So many times, it's because the owners are just careless.
ReplyDeleteMom and one of her friends were commenting just a few days ago about all the missing kitties in our neighborhood on Next Door. Very disheartening. Sawyer also likes being kissed on the head, but if you ask him about it, he will deny it. CK, your art is totally stunning as it should be. You look amazing! XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer & Kizmet with purrs and POTP for TW.
ReplyDeleteI can relate about neighborhood media sites. :( Be well!
