Remember Me Thursday: God Bless the Cat Who Doesn't Have a Home

 Hola kitties. This isn't a very religious house and we don't usually quote the Bible but we like us some blues. One of our new neighbors plays blues guitar and it's so relaxing to listen to. Last time he played, I was thinking what to write for my Remember Me Thursday post. The words God bless the cat who doesn't have a home—to paraphrase the great blues legend Billie Holliday—popped into this cat's head. Remember Me Thursday is more about the shelter cats but I like to remember my posse out on the streets. Shelter cats are down on their luck but they do have warm places to stay with food and even a bit of loving.

Today, September 24, you have the option to join animal lovers from more than 190 countries to help the world #SeeTheLight about the need to adopt—rather than shop—a cat, dog or other pet to add joy to your family.  Because of COVID-19, many communities won’t be able to celebrate with large candle lighting events like in years past but you can still participate virtually.
