Feral Friday: Training Your Humans

Hola kittens! Thanks to everyone who sent comforting messages and purrz on the passing of Aunt Pauline. TW tried to pass them onto Uncle Neil who needs a lot of loving.

Feral Friday: Training Your Humans

I love my pal Summer  but she wrote a somewhat misguided post this week about why humans should train their cats. Summer is a rock star among cat bloggers and her human knows everything there is to know about cats and is an expert on human/cat bonding. I hate to contradict them ever but I couldn't let this one pass. My humans don't have me trained; I have them trained. I can write the book about why humans need to be trained.

It's very important to train your peeps otherwise your litter box will remain dirty and they'll never know when to feed you. I have the peeps trained that nobody moves while I'm eating. If they do, I'll walk away and they don't want that cos I won't come back. They say I eat little enough. Somehow they do walk away if I'm eating out of my daily ration of 25 pieces of kibble.

Feral Friday: Training Your Humans

I have the peeps trained as I stated. Every night right before lights out, TW brings a midnight snack into the bedroom so I can dine in comfort. I eat whatever is left over from my earlier midnight snack. I like this service. She also wakes up whenever she hears me jump off the bed at night to walk me to the kibble dish.

FRIENDLY FILL-INS

Now it's time to join the Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers which are underlined and in italics. Any further comments on my part are in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. Today it applies to number two.

Feral Friday: Training Your Humans

1. I feel like the peeps should eat more protein. They don't eat hardly any meat anymore so I can't grub anything offa them. Also they have no energy cause those protein bars they eat don't do nothing.

2. I wish I could exchange TW for Beyonce. Heh heh! Wouldn't that be cool? We'd make such a stunning couple. I'd travel with her and be in her videos.

3. It's time for me to retire and enjoy being a cat.

4. Retirement is really tempting these days. Since Aunt Pauline died, TW said she lost the will to blog.

Caturday Art

I promised a few weeks ago I did a cartoonish painting which resembled those big-eyed paintings that Margaret Keane used to paint. She used mostly oils but I did mine with watercolor and colored pencil. Keane painted big-eyed animals as well as humans. I think if you click on the image, it will take you to the puzzle.

Feral Friday: Training Your Humans

It will be my Feral Friday entry in the Caturday Art blog hop which is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to showcase the latest art by anipal artists using digital apps, Photoshop or original art. No talent? No problemo. There are hundreds of one-click apps for desktop or mobile devices that will turn your photos into digital works of art.

  1. Very cool art CK! I've got my momma trained pretty well - but she needs some more work in the food sharing department!

  2. It's true - my human misbehaves a LOT! I really don't have her under control like you, CK. At least she keeps the litter boxes clean, but I think it's more for her aesthetics than mine.

  17. It's really hard to train humans, they are sort of dense. It was much easier to train the dogs. We have finally tumbled onto the method of allowing Mommy to think she is training us. Healing purrs for TW we hope she is OK.

  18. CK we LOVE your Art! You are the most beautiful ever!
Our Angel Buddy had Dad trained the same way. Morning, Noon and evening meals MOL

  19. Don't let her take any breaks CK. When my Human took a "break" it basically lasted for about two YEARS. (Well, since she's been unwell, she can have a break till she recovers. But no longer!) XOXOXO

  21. As always, CK, your art is as stunning as You!
Now, about exchanging TW for Beyonce and being in her videos: surely it should be the other way around? We think Beyonce should be furry grateful for being allowed to be in YOUR videos!

  22. Oh yeah, these two think they have me trained, but little do they know it's quite the opposite!

  25. As always, I love your art. But this week turned out extra special. 25 pieces of kibble?! Dang, girl, you should be glad. Some days I get 3 pieces of kibble as a treat. THREE! And not even every day! We're sending purrs to TW. We hope it helps her heart.

  26. Boy oh boy..that's a subject that's constantly debated around here. I don't know who trains whom, but as long as I eat, have toys, adoring fans, friends, and freedom to do what I want...wait, that does sound like humans are at my beck and call..!! Comforting purrs for Uncle Neil from all of us and CK, TW has those same purrs coming from us, too. Give her our love..Tom, Bridget, Penny & the housekeeper xxx

  27. We're sending you and TW continued purrs and prayers, CK. Your Aunt Pauline was an amazing woman, and we have no doubt she's smiling down on you.
