Feral Friday: Peek-A-Boo!

Hola kitties! How was your week? Mine was still too exciting for me. They shut off our water again all day Tuesday to replace the valve that they bandaged last week but as long as my kitchen water that I don't drink has been changed and my fountain is working, I could care less. The peeps were highly inconvenienced. The water went off at 9:30 and they usually sleep until 10 so they had to get up early to fill a few things up with water for an emergency like washing their hands and making tea. It was about a hunnert degrees all week but TW still drinks hot tea.

Feral Friday: Peek-A-Boo!

Then there was the explosion we heard the other night. As near as the peeps could figure out from reading Next Door, a transformer blew at the same time as a clap of thunder. It shook the condo. TW thought I might never come out from under the bed of my office.  Let's forget about all that and share a pic of what I was doing five Augusts ago compared to one from this August.

Feral Friday: Peek-A-Boo!

It was dark o'clock and Pop was ready to go to bed except there was a stunning cat in his place. The image is grainy cos of no flash coupled by a cheapo camera. I almost look like I'm laying with my head on his pillow.

Feral Friday: Peek-A-Boo!

Not much has changed in five years except this time I was on TW's bed.  The image is still grainy cos TW still stinks as a photographer and we still have the same cheapo camera. As I said, not much has changed. These beg one question. I'm such a stunning cat. Why does TW insist on taking pics where all you can see are my ears? Is she jealous of my beauty?

Friendly Fill-Ins

Now it's time to join the Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers which are underlined and in italics. Any further comments on my part are in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. Today it applies to number one.

Feral Friday: Peek-A-Boo!

1. I like ketchup on my N/A. Does not apply. I'm a cat. I don't like or even eat ketchup. TW, on the other paw, puts it on everything except hot dogs. She slops it on eggs and French fried potatoes, among other things.

2. Shopping day for the peeps reminds me of rotisserie chicken. They always bring one home with them and then we eat it while it's nice and hot. The Cat gets her share.

3. It pains me to read about homeless cats. I really feel for those who have lost their homes due to no fault of their own. Their humans might die or move away and leave them to fend for themselves. It's a good thing I'm here or TW might take them all in.

4. I can't see a human hand coming toward me without opening my mouth to attack. It's a reflex reaction. It's also one that I know hurts TW since she claims she's never hit me. This stems from a painful memory from my kittenhood that I don't want to talk about.

In Memory

Stunning Keisha lost a loyal reader—a champion of this blog—leaving a big hole in our hearts. Aunt Pauline passed away this week after a two-year battle with cancer. It was she who put the "Stunning" in my name after TW sent her my PetFinder profile. Aunt Pauline was one of the few lucky humans who met this cat in the fur. She was TW's best friend for 47 years. She leaves behind her brother Uncle Neil and many cat-loving friends.

Caturday Art

I have a slight dilemma with this week's art. To solve it, I'm going to use the one the I painted here and my puzzle will be the digital art that looks like it was designed by the guy who designed all the YES album covers. It's kinda cool too. HAH! You can see Pop's "Cat Dad" shirt.

Feral Friday: Peek-A-Boo!

It will be my Feral Friday entry in the Caturday Art blog hop which is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to showcase the latest art by anipal artists using digital apps, Photoshop or original art. No talent? No problemo. There are hundreds of one-click apps for desktop or mobile devices that will turn your photos into digital works of art.

I was very sorry to hear about your Auntie Pauline and send my condolences.
Cancer is evil! It has been 3 1/2 years since my cancer became metastatic but hopefully I am still doing okay. I go for a 6 monthly CT scan today.

  25. We're so sorry for TW's loss! Aunt Pauline always sounded wonderful and she was completely right that you are stunning, CK! Maybe TW likes taking pictures of your ears because they don't have teeth?! I mean, a few teeth here, a few teeth there ... I don't know why the humans make such a big deal about it! ~Bear Cat

  26. First, CK, we want to offer our most heartfelt purrs, thoughts, and prayers over the passing of your dear Aunt Pauline. From what you've told us about her over the years, she was an amazing woman, and she will be watching over you all.

CK, Thimble says she has the exact opposite issue with her slacker of a photographer. Your photographer only manages to get your stunning ears, whereas Thimble's photography is always cutting her ears out of photos. Humans. Good grief. And thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins, CK! Your #3 is so sad yet so true. It's our greatest hope that all animals could know a loving forever home. Purrs!

We are so sorry about Aunt Pauline--we know how much you loved her and were loved in return. You can come over and hang out on your blue pillow and we can have a face wash and a snooze and you can tell me all about her. XOXO
