Feral Friday: Peanuts, Puzzles & Pandemic

Hola kitties! I know this is a strange title for this post but it will all come together. There also seems to be a pink theme to the images. Let's talk peanuts! I also get feral with my toys. Five years ago, the peeps bought me some catnip bonbons for Christmas. I went so nutz for them that the next year, they bought different flavored peanuts. I've ignored those peanuts until the past week. Suddenly it's been like "where you been all my life?"

Feral Friday: Peanuts, Puzzles & Pandemic

TW decided to get out the flashy box while I was biting on and playing with one of the peanuts.

Feral Friday: Peanuts, Puzzles & Pandemic

Which is why I'm throwing it off the perch. I'm showing that playtime is over and done with. The lead image was taken right after this one. I'm axing TW "You want a piece of me?" I'm ready to rumble so you don't wanna mess wif me.

Now it's time to join the Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers which are underlined and in italics. Any further comments on my part are in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. Today it applies to number four.

Feral Friday: Peanuts, Puzzles & Pandemic

1. When this pandemic is over, I will prolly get drugged and dragged to the vets. I seem to be lucky since it doesn't look to be ending anytime soon. Dr. D. and the peeps both agreed I won't do well without Pop in the torture chamber examining room with me. Keep not wearing those masks while partying on the beach and perhaps I can put this off another year.

2. I have zero interest in vegetables. I don't mind some fruits in my kibble but I don't like veggies in my stinky goodness.

3. I always look forward to rotisserie chicken. I know when the peeps leave me alone and go to the supermarket, there will be rotisserie chicken when they return. I look forward to Chinese food too but that's not on any particular night. It depends if they bought food from Lorraine or if they have enough leftovers for the entire week. We have Chinese food once a month but it seems like less. It's always a pleasant surprise when we have it.

4. HH Gutt is the bane of my existence. I haven't let him hijack the blog lately but he's still lurking around the condo. I was gonna say TW cos it's like can't live with her; can't live without her but it was easier to find a pic of HH Gutt. It's all about the images.

Feral Friday: Peanuts, Puzzles & Pandemic

I went all cartoony this week and turned myself calico with my art. This will be my puzzle and my Feral Friday entry in the Caturday Art blog hop which is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to showcase the latest art by anipal artists using digital apps, Photoshop or original art. No talent? No problemo. Anyone can be an artist using the hundreds of one-click apps for desktop or mobile devices that will turn your photos into digital works of art.

  1. Those peanuts sound like lots of fun! Even with the pandemic, I'm sure I'll have to do my annual checkup and therapy cat evaluation in August. My human still needs to do her annual TB test, and she plans to go next week. Can you believe she went to the dentist today for a checkup? They were all in the equivalent of hazmat suits there.

  4. Your Art is always great, but today’s is extra spectacular. You sure are a lucky kitty to get those human noms. Mom didn’t like that Mau had to go Into the vet “alone.” We all think we kitties need our humans with us to feel safe. We know you don’t want to go for a very long time, but all the peeps really want to have a normal life again. So remind TW and your pop to stay safe and follow the rules. 10. Those peanuts look like fun victims for your claws.
You have a unique perspective on the pandemic - benefitting from the stupid, maskless humans who are helping you delay your vet visit. I can't even be polite and call them ignorant, because it's not a lack of knowledge that's preventing us from stopping this virus. Stupid, selfish people are why we can't get past this.
Mmmm, rotisserie chicken. I think that's a good idea for tonight's dinner.

  11. That peanut looks fun! Love the art. Completely agree with #1. I don't think Mudpie could handle the vet without me either. I just couldn't leave her there and wait in the car.

  12. I bet I could make some of those peanuts, Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. You have been lucky to avoid the vet- is there one that does house calls? I hope you get some Chinese food soon. I love your art. Thank you for the puzzle. XO

  13. We can't avoid the vet CK. Never works even when we were all under garden arrest (far from the vet!) I sympathise but we do OK there (mostly).

Weird about our toys isn't it? We ignore them mostly but sometimes the 'nip love takes over!

  14. My cat Jake has "peanut envy". Hahaha!

  15. Our vet has started letting the humans back in as long as they wear a mask. Mom was finally mastering sit stay too. Our vet has a wicked sense of humor and she had signs posted saying Humans Sit Stay Call. Fenris does report that she failed the STAY portion one time when she took him to the vet apparently once he had been dragged (and yest they had to drag him) inside she ran off.

We like the peanuts we are going to have to make Mom fetch us some.

Socks used to like lettuce he liked raw spinach too. Mom said he was a weird cat.

Good to see you CK and we LOVED your artwork this week it was so vibrant. The reds and yellows set off your profile perfectly.

    Calico suits you.
