Every year I get Pop something special for his birthday.
I've gotten him a bag.
I've gotten him a set of mugs—one for work and one for home.
This year I wanted to get something special. The good folks at Socksery contacted me and axed if I would like a pair of their custom cat socks. I don't wear socks but I realized Pop would adore wearing socks with my likeness. I leapt at the opportunity. OK, I didn't really leap but maybe my spirit did. Dunno if I approve of him walking all over me. MOL!
It was so easy to order the socks that TW could do it. She uploaded a hi-res photo and told them Pop's size/color and they did the rest. She picked a photo where I'm wearing my Yankee hat cos our favorite team is in the MLB playoffs this year. You can include up to three photos if you'd like more than one cat/dog on the socks.
The socks come in men's and women's sizes and seven colors. I gave Pop the blue ones. He reports they were very comfortable and they didn't sag or squeeze his very fat legs.
The custom socks are woven from a blend of high performance yarn to meet the tough demands of professional athletes even though Pop's baseball days are far behind him. Once you order, it takes about five business days to produce the socks and another five for them to be delivered. We were actually surprised how soon they arrived.

Those are cool socks! They actually contacted me about this, but my human only ever wears black socks with no patterns on them, so we weren't a good fit (fit - get it?). But we like to see them on everyone else!

ReplyDeleteI have a pair so I'm not going to enter. I love mine. I have Cooper Murphy on my pair and they are pink.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day. ♥
My father was such a huge Yankees fan, but because all of his children were born in Michigan, we Tiger's fans gave him grief about it every season. It was all in fun, and it was one way we all bonded. I hope to get to Yankee Stadium someday!
