The Helen Woodward Animal Center sent a toy along with the boring stuff. As you'll read below in the fill-ins, I'm not really down with nippy toys.

First I sniffed it to see if it was safe.

Much to everyone's surprise, I went crazypants over that toy.

I bunny-kicked and bit on it until I noticed TW was trying to capture my playtime on film.

I stopped and haven't looked at it since. I guess I wore all the flavor out of it.

Now it's time to join the Friendly Fill-Ins, a feature held weekly at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are underlined and in italics with further comments in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. Today it relates to number two although this toy isn't what I'm referring to.
1. October is the perfect month for biting. It's also a perfect month for batting around little spiders from Pop's Halloween display. I usually don't touch the decorations but if he drops them on the floor, they're fair game.
2. The most recent purchase I made online was catnip toys. Actually TW bought me some nip toys we saw on Summer's blog. Thanks, Summer. I've completely ignored them so far but that could change. I'm not going to let TW know what *I've* bought online. She *did* leave her plastic out after she ordered the hoity toity food that I don't like last week.
3. If I turned invisible for a day, I'd still be stunning. Totally. Think of the possibilities though. The peeps wouldn't see me coming so they couldn't move when I wanted to bite them. Whoa! I'm getting flushed just thinking of it. I could sneak up and take a nip out of an arm or foot anytime I wanted and they couldn't do a thing about it. Yeah, I guess it wouldn't be much different from what I do now although they wouldn't see me do it.
4. Biting has gotten me in trouble in the past. It will get me in trouble in the future too. I'm 14. I ain't gonna change. The peeps seem to think the opposite. They say, "we've had you 14 years. we think by now you would have stopped biting."

Check out the puzzle for the art without the oil painting filter. |
TW wanted to see if our old point and shoot's super mackerel setting still worked so she took some super closeups while I slept. You'll see some of the ones that came really good at another time but I decided to make this one into art. I looked at the image and took oils to canvas. I even look stunning when I sleep.
This will be my Feral Friday entry in the Caturday Art blog hop which is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to showcase the latest art by anipal artists using digital apps, Photoshop or original art. No talent? No problemo. There are hundreds of one-click apps for desktop or mobile devices that will turn your photos into works of art.
You really do like to keep your humans guessing, don't you, CK?
ReplyDeleteBiting is what some kitties do. As long as it's not drawing blood it's all good.
ReplyDeleteHave a purrfect day and weekend. My best to your mom. ♥
Great puzzle; a lot harder than it looked!
ReplyDeleteYou're a kick CK, but stunning as always. Bad news on the 14 years of biting, our little Elf is a biter and I was hoping it was just a kitten teething thing - sigh, oh well, best to know now.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the puzzle. It was a hard one with all those colours, 14.57. The filter makes lovely art.
ReplyDeleteYour art is just beautiful! Mudpie can be the same with her toys - crazy pants when it arrives, then doesn't touch it again for months. Wait until you see her #3 tomorrow...it might surprise you! Doesn't involve biting though MOL.
ReplyDeleteAt least you enjoyed that nip pillow for a few minutes CK! I enjoyed your fill in answers CK and you art is wildly cool!
ReplyDeleteI love your art and thank you for the puzzle. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I bet you would have fun if you were invisible. Next time she leaves the plastic out be sure to order some Chinese food on grub hub :) Have a nice weekend. XO
ReplyDeleteWe got some of those toys too and found them to be quite nippy and lots of fun!
ReplyDeleteI tell myself that when my cat bites me, he's just trying to give me kisses. And if his kisses are with razor sharp teeth, that just means he loves me.
ReplyDeleteThat was really cool that HWAC included cat-specific toys in the pack!
ReplyDeleteThe humans sure know how to ruin our fun, don't they? I think ANY month is a good one for biting, but I might be a bit biased. ~Bear Cat
ReplyDeleteThe art looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteI bite too. I bite Mum's leg when I want to play! And I also like to bat spiders. I found one the other day in the hallway outside the kitchen and Mum freaked. I don't know why.
She is really afraid of them.
Sam used to wear her toys out in one play session too!
ReplyDeleteYour peeps are going to continue to hold out hope that you mellow out in your senior years, CK. Wouldn't that be a nice surprise for them to be right? :)

CK, it wouldn't be possible for you to turn invisible. You really are too stunning, and that stunning would break right through the invisibility.
ReplyDeleteNip pillows, biteys...that could be THE combination, CK...at least when I have had to much nip😸 We love your artwork, I wonder which app you use for it. Pawkisses for a Wonderful Day🐾😽💞
ReplyDeleteI'm not into nip either. Hmmm, 14 years and they expect you to change your ways? I give them credit for being hopeful.
