She's Eating … Now She's Not

Hola kitties! I told you about this new chef the peeps have. They're getting dinner from her rather than ordering Chinese. Well, the new chef is killing me. Check out the fun items on this week's menu: Shell Fish Stew (with clams, mussels, shrimp, crab and BACON!), Crispy Sweet & Spicy Chicken (can be made not spicy), Lamb Souvlaki Meatballs, Vegetable Lasagna Roll Ups and Cajun Spiced Wild Tilapia. With a lineup like that, what did the peeps order? The Lasagna Roll Ups and a salad. Srsly peeps? No meat or fish for the most precious member of the family? I have to eat cat food?

She's Eating … Now She's Not

At the best of times, I am a picky eater. When I eat my cat food, I don't gobble my food and then risk frowing it all up again. I eat slowly. I take a few bites and look up to digest. Or maybe I'm just being observant of my environment. This might be what's going through my mind. I've written captions with some of my thoughts but you can find others in the secret messages.

Yep, that post is still there. Glad it hasn't moved. That would be scary.

My scratching post hasn't moved either.

There's my litter box. Wonder if it's been cleaned.

What's going on in the hall?

Wonder if Spitty is eating breakfast at the same time I'm eating lunch.

What is this thing called life about?

She's Eating … Now She's Not

ALL DONE! I think Pop is really gonna be pleased when he sees all I've eaten.

Since I've had this paw thing, I've been eating off a raised dish so I don't have to put more pressure on it and I enjoy it. These pics are all file footage.

What, if anything, do you think about while you're eating?

[Editor's note: CK got her cut of the lasagna rollup noodles and low fat ricotta and she enjoyed them.]

  1. We never get to share what my human eats! Maybe around the holidays we get a bit of turkey from where ever she went, and that's about it.

  2. Can't say that you are starving, lol !

  3. We don't ask for any human food, which is good because it's never offered!

  4. CK, you and Manny were taught at the same learning-to-eat school! He's just nibbling these days, and The Hubby is trying everything to encourage him to finish a meal at one sitting. Because otherwise, Chili Bruce will eat what Manny has left, and CB gets fat while Manny stays skinny. We may have to shop for a new food or two, just to see if Manny will eat normally. He has up until now!

  5. I am glad to see you are eating and impressed that you don't gobble - very sophisticated CK!

  6. CK at least you are a polite eater and pick your head up and look around. I just throw my face in the bowl and NEVER come up for air until it's all gone. My Mom says I need to be more polite like you. Love, Cody

  7. I never fed my kitties human food. I did have one finicky kitty though. She ate when she got hungry enough. It was just how it was.

Have a fabulous day. My best to your peeps. ♥

  9. You are really quite ladylike not rushing your food. Eric didn't eat his food, he inhaled it and it was gone in the blink of an eye!

  10. I am glad they gave you some lasagna :) I wish Joanie would eat slow like you do. She often eats too fast and yacks it right up on the rug or the bed- never the wood floor which would be easier to clean. XO

  11. "Yep, that post is still there. Glad it hasn't moved. That would be scary." OMC you and Mudpie are so much alike with the way you eat!!! I have to be honest, I would've chosen the lasagna roll ups too!

  12. I’m a slow eater like you, CK. It drives the mom nuts. ~Ernie

  13. Good job eating all your food, CK. Gracie is a slow eater -- kind of a grazer. Ava will eat all of her wet, unless she gets distracted. Then all bets are off. :)

  14. Oh my sweet darling! Since this is TODAY (and a most reasonable 68 degrees), you can bet I *was* eating my breakfast as you were having your midday repast. The Human was getting really worried about me--I barely ate for those three days when it was so hideously HOT. Of course, she stuffed *her* face just like always. Hrmmf. I eat like you do--ALWAYS alert to my surroundings. I mean we never really know when the Peeps might get out of hand if we don't keep a close watch on them! XOXOXO

  15. Looks like you did a good job on your food! I give Olive a little dab of cream cheese or vanilla ice cream.
