Feral Friday: Limping into the Weekend

Hola kitties! I'm not feeling too feral right now. This little ghetto kitteh has been hurting. Getting old is a contact sport. The peeps and Dr. D. think Arthur-itis has been attacking my right front paw. I've been limping and standing with that paw raised. I sent pics to Dr. D. who said there was no swelling which was a good sign. Cos I've been hurting, I haven't been eating much which worries TW more than the paw.

Feral Friday: Limping into the Weekend

We gonna go head now to the Friendly Fill-Ins, a feature held weekly at this time. Let's meet our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are underlined and in italics with further comments in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. Today it relates to number four.

Feral Friday: Limping into the Weekend

1. A past event that I would like to see in person is __________________________. I live in the present and future so I really can't answer that. TW, bless her pointy little head, would have loved to have been at R.E.M.'s first ever gig at the little church at 394 Oconee. Of course it had to be music related.

2. If I were a dog, my breed would be CAT. I would never be or want to be a dog!

3. If I came with a warning label, it would say the following: PLAY BITES. Truth be told, I did come with that warning label but did the peeps heed it? No, so they forfeited their right to complain. That means you, Woman! My jail cell had a tag which read PLAY BITES although it should have just said BITES. HAH!

4. I would want to take The Trout Towne Tabbies and/or Father Tom Fishworthy with me to a deserted island. Am I back on that deserted island that I just left? Ack! I bet those Tabbies know how to fish if Fr. Tom can't pray us back to civilization. As a bonus, they'll keep my laughing. I'd also like to take a Chinese chef if I may. Hold the wire! Fr. Tom has his own plane to get us off. For the sake of argument, though, let's say that plane crashed which was how we wound up on the deserted island.

This is an older art piece but you could see disgust written all over my face. Yeah, it hasn't been an easy couple of days. I love to run and play and all I've been doing is sleeping and resting my paw. Late yesterday afternoon I did a bit of running and batted a shmousy toy around hard with my hurt paw. It's a step in the right direction.

Feral Friday: Limping into the Weekend

This will be my Feral Friday entry in the Caturday Art blog hop which is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to showcase the latest art by anipal artists using digital, Photoshop and original art. No talent? No problemo. There are hundreds of one-click apps for desktop or mobile devices that will turn your photos into works of art.

Today I'm gonna be in my office UTB all morning. First building staff is coming to disconnect our washer and dryer and then the delivery guys are going to be here making a ton of noise. Here's where my paw cramps up again but nobody cares. Hope you will be enjoying a quiet weekend.

  1. I hope your paw feels better, CK. Boodie gets CBD tincture for her arthritis and it seems to help. Binga just gets cosequin, since CBD gives her the runs. But we're not even sure if she needs it since she has no problem getting up on the kitchen counter and looking for trouble.

  2. I am sorry your paw is hurting. That Arthur Itis is not nice to know. I use an emu oil gel to help mine (sorry tabbies), but that would be no good for you as I am sure you would lick it off.
Your art is always lovely, but of course it has a stunning subject.

  3. I love the art effect! Wow!
I feel you, CK. Within the last year, I've developed bad arthritis. I was in denial until a month ago. My hands or feet swell up to cantaloupe-size and it hurts - especially when I try to type (in the case of hands ... I haven't figured out how to type with my toes yet). Getting old is one thing ... but why does it have to hurt so much?!

  5. We are so sorry to hear this. Our furbro grandpaw Greyson had degenerative joint disease. Mom did everything in the world to help him. There a a number of holistic and medicinal things to try. Maybe your mom would get you a heated bed to try. This really helps along with CBD oil. Don't worry you'll be back to zooming soon. Mom says you are in her prayers. Stay strong CK! Purrs

  9. Wonder if CBD oil would help with your achy paw, CK, as others have already suggested. Please eat up; maybe you can get spoon fed for awhile (as every cat always wants!)

  11. I am sorry your paw is hurting. I will add you to my prayer list. I think TW needs to get you a rotisserie chicken to stimulate the appetite :) Thank you for still doing the fill-ins despite feeling bad. Yes, I knew TW would include REM just like I did with Nic. Good point- who would want to be a dog? I hope you feel better soon. XO
    PS: Very nice art.

  24. We're sending you all sorts of purrs, CK! Angel Rosie had severe arthritis in her older years, so much so that her veterinarian said that almost every single one of her vertebrae was affected. She thrived and gained a lot of her mobility back with anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs). And you're a genius, CK! Taking the Trout Towne Tabbies or Father Tom Fishworthy with you to an island is a brilliant idea, and we wish we'd thought of that. Purrs to you!
