Nothing controversial about foto #972 chosen by the Lone Star Cats. I must commend them on this pick cos I look extra stunning. I was sitting on the table with incandescent light from the table lamp shining behind me, providing a glorious glow on my furs. We've used another foto from this shot numerous times but I think this one is just as good. A little cropping and it's a perfect avatar. I was so much younger than the grizzled veteran you'll see in the next foto. Look at the youthful innocence I possessed!
Aunt Pauline picked foto #5777 which was taken in October two years ago. This was an outtake for the very first review I did for Chewy.com and I think you can see why. The lead image for that post is one of my faves. The peeps bought the pumpkins as props and out of the over 30 fotos taken, there were a few usable ones where I didn't look like a disinnerested blob in the background. This wasn't one. There are fotos with and without the product so we could use them elsewhere. Trust me, these pumpkins are a lot healthier than the ones the peeps bought this year.
The Friendly Fill-Ins are hosted each and every week by 15andmeowing and McGuffy's Reader. They make up the fill-ins and I'm happy to provide the answers. My answers are truthful, so help me Cod. I can't speak for TW since she lies a great deal. That's why I don't let her play along.
1. I would like to interview the Guy Upstairs. You know, the staff of Ceiling Cat. He's got a lot of 'splaining to do about how he could permit things to get this bad around the world. I mean, why do so many prayers go unanswered? I'll bet he's playing video games or Pokeman Go and has given up on us or something.
2. I would like to be interviewed by Walter Cronkite. I heard he was the best at what he does. I was already innerviewed by the Funny Farmers and Miss Christina at Peace, Love Whiskers.
3. Halloween night I'll probably be in my office UTB if the peeps sign up to get trick or treaters.
4. Once Halloween is over, TURKEY! Heh, not that I'm looking forward to it.
My human is thinking of cooking a GOOSE this year! But not on Thanksgiving proper - she's got plans that night elsewhere... but the menu may be vegetarian, which is kind of a drag.
ReplyDeleteI like all your photo choices, especially you with the pumpkins. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. You have a good point there on #1, I have always wondered how all these bad things happen and he can't blame the natural disasters on free will. Anyone would be lucky to interview you.
ReplyDeleteWe are lucky we don't get trick or treaters so no doorbells dinging to scare the kitties. Have a nice weekend. XO
We enjoyed your photos CK but we no longer enjoy alins coming to our door on Halloween!
ReplyDeleteCK.....we kleer lee iz knot see in what we iz see in tho we noe what we see iz what we saw.......

N yea ewe R still stunning ~~~~ ♥♥♥
DeleteErrr ... innocence?!?! Pretty sure that was taken care of when you fended for yourself on the street (no offense - after fighting to survive and seeing the worst of humanity, it couldn't be any different). I love both these pictures ... they show your stunning AND - a little somptin' somptin' extra, extra - a bit of 'tude.
ReplyDeleteps - Nothing controversial about your answers, CK. Just shows you've lived long enough to know better. That whole "free will" thing is humanity's bane. God doesn't teach us (or anyone else) lessons ... the bad stuff is the devil and humanity getting in the way of God's plans. In most cases though, God manages to pull a rabbit or two out of His hat and makes the best of horrid situations. [full disclosure - my brother's a pastor and this is his way of explaining the horrid suffering we see all around us].
W@hat struck us about the *innocence* picture was the great big smile on your face. This is a happy kitty to be sure.
ReplyDeleteYour fill-ins made mom think...perhaps the Ceiling Cat is off playing video games or has washed his paws of us, cause we can be so uncaring ourselves.
Shoko
I agree with you 1000% on #1, CK. Every day I find myself asking why he allows the things to happen that do. Why do million of animals suffer, the most innocent among us? Why does he He allow horrible people to exist and hurt them? It makes no sense, and for people who say there are certain things we're not meant to know here on earth, that's just a cop out.
ReplyDeleteWell, #1 is certainly philosopical. But, The Big Guy does what all parents do. He told the rules and gave the consequences there-of. He also has given humans all the things we need, but we don't take care of that, either. It really is up to people to resolve, and they cannot seem to get it together to do so. I don't think He has given up. Parents don't; but they do stand by. And, now you went and upset Trout Towne with #4. *wink*
ReplyDeleteYou look very cute with pumpkins. Great color coordination :-)
ReplyDeleteHalloween can be noisy and scary for non-humans, since it's so strange! Doorbells, yelling kids, crackling candy wrappers...hey, I think I'll join you UTB, CK!
ReplyDeleteDear Ms CK, My Mommy says that you look like butter would not melt in your mouth...I LOVE butter!
ReplyDeleteAnd I especially like the picture of you with the pumpkins. I, Marvelous will be on a pumpkin for Halloween!
Purrsonally, I though your answers to the Friday fillins were thought provoking...especially #1

I get locked in the bedroom-side of the house for Halloween. It's not too bad, I usually just sleep. My humans are going to an early Thanksgiving potluck on Sunday but I won't get any turkey. I suspect Ceiling Cat is waiting for humans to extinct themselves from the planet. Then the animals can live in peace.
ReplyDeleteActually both photo picks this week are quite good, and you look amazingly stunning in both. Pretty cool how the second one was just right for a post just prior to Halloween. If no one has selected them, we'd like to select #5432 and #4321 and #3210. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy
ReplyDeleteI love that first photo with the light behind you. You look even more stunning (if that is possible) with the glow on your fur.
ReplyDeleteOooo, you do look extra stunning in that first one!
