Hola kitties! By higher, I'm not not talking nip today. I'm talking the other kind of high. There are two kinds of cats. Those that like staying low to the ground (bush dwellers) and those who like to be up high (tree dwellers). Tree
dwellers are more akin to leopards, perching in trees, surveying their
surroundings, and lounging up high. They are often a little more confident in
themselves and can be found in cat trees or atop cabinets. I'm one of those.
Even in my old age, I can be found high up on the Tower of Power. TW actually grabbed her flashy box and was able to shoot a few pics. Here are some action shots you won't want to miss.
Friendly fill-ins
Let's answer some Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which
is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing
and
Four Legged Furballs—need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They
think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are boldface. This
week my image relates to number four.
1. When I turned 21, I had a very good year. Sorry, I'm channeling Frank Sinatra and that old song. I'm not really 21 but I bet I'll have a very good year.
2. My favorite breakfast is Fancy Feast. I get a half a can of a different recipe every day. TW used to think the liver and chicken pâté was my fave but I've been very picky about my breakfast recently. Several times I've left it in my bowl. This morning I gobbled up the fish and shrimp shreds. My fave meal is my midnight snack. Ax TW about breakfast. That's her fave meal which is why i-hop is her fave restaurant.
3. I'm so glad I live in a world where cats such as myself can find forever homes. I wish I lived in a world where every cat had a home and were assured of being fed daily. That doesn't seem to be close to a reality although kudos to those who make sure community cats have full stomachs.
4. A day is not complete without treats. I'm channeling Raz with this answer. I may snub my nose up at eating my meal, but I'm never late for treats. The peeps would say a meal isn't complete without dessert.

Caturday art
My favorite art medium is oils. You can see all my carefully crafted brush
strokes. The other piece I made this week—which I may post next week—was
more colorful but Pop liked this one best. I can show you some colorful
language instead. HAH!

Excellent action shots, CK!

Hahahaha!
Terrific art; love the effect. I'll puzzle it soon.
Oh my, Keisha, you are quite the climbing leopard! Magnificent! I really like the art, I love strong color in art. Looking forward to seeing the other version next week!
ReplyDeleteLookin' good on your cat tree, CK! I agree with you on number 3!
ReplyDeleteHey CK!!! I'm a tree dweller too!!!!! Love your artwork! Love, Roary
ReplyDeleteCool artwork! I agree with you on number 3. Jake Housepanther is a tree dweller too. Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeletePawsome action shots and art! Mudpie is the only cat I've ever known who doesn't love FF.
ReplyDeleteThat was a fun post CK, I always knew you were the Top Cat! We enjoyed your terrific answers and your fabulous art is stunning!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you still like to climb the tower. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I love Sinatra. My Emmy likes the Fancy Feast with the shrimp too. :) Beautiful art. Thank you for the puzzle. XO
ReplyDeleteWow! You are even more stunning in oils. I used to oil paint so this brings back lots of memories with the visible brushstrokes and all. I love the vibrant colours with you at the center.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree about the stunning artwork. I love the effect, as well as that huge goldfish you have beside you. Was that the stunning leopard's catch of the day?

Love your art and your Tower of Power!
ReplyDeleteCK! It's your #1 Fan Boy! WOW! WOW! WOW! Your tower of pain is so pristine! Ours (we have 2) are only 3 year old and totally SHREDDED! The one with just rope...the rope is hanging by threads - even though the Peeps put on new rope last fall! The one with carpet on the posts - well, we wont get into what it looks like, but there are strings and tufts and blank spots everywhere. Mom put them on the deck when the floor work started and she says that they are NOT coming back inside. It looks like we are going to get a new one (singular). And we are hoping that we can destroy it in record time too! Your fill ins are purrfect and we too get Fancy Feast for breakfast! This morning we The stuff with cheedar cheese in the gravy! Yummy! The 3 of us ate 2 cans! Tonight we get tuna! Mom lets us have a can of tuna once in a while and we will eat that up toot suite! As for treats...Mom bought some catnip flavored Fancy Feast ones and we are being real treat minsters about those! Your art is fabulishious and I am happy we did the puzzle! It was so much fun! Keep being AWESOME and we hope you and your Peeps have a marvellously happy week! Purrs Marv
ReplyDeleteYour artwork is excellent, CK. As always, we LOVE it! How awesome that you still get up in your Tower of Power to survey all the going on there at your place. Nice job with your fill-ins. We especially liked your answer to #3. XO
ReplyDeleteYour art work is amazing, CK! But then - so are you!
ReplyDeleteWe are definitely on board with your fill-ins this week. Especially number 3.
E&F were both tree dwellers (Flynn literally!) Your art is beautiful and colourful.
ReplyDeleteI thought it would be fun, cool, different to comment on a day when maybe every other furry was not commenting or done commenting. So here I am! Actually that sounds like a really good excuse (a/k/a lie or fib for just being late and lazy, huh?). Oh well, such is life they say. It's all mine Mommy's fault, she decided to do spring cleaning on a fall day, go figure. She said her waist rearranged itself down to her hips so lots of pants didn't fit anymore, the winter ones, even though at 72-degrees it is far from winter here, and so there she was trying on all these clothes from plastic boxes and becoming miss-fussy-pants when the pants didn't fit, or when I would get into the empty plastic box. Hey, a plastic box is cool, I mean you can see outside even when you're in it, not like those chewy or amazon boxes, it's really kind of special. Anyway, she was getting so fussy and using badwerdz that I pulled a CK trick and went up to the top of the kitchen cabinets to find some relief from the commotion down below. I go up there a lot anyway. She gets fussy about that, too, cause she's never been able to clean up there, no ladder or such and I come down with a greasy/dusty/messy belly. Yuk, she says and goes in search of baby wipes while I try to hide. Am not a baby! Not. Anyway, where was I, a cat as young as me should get forgetful, oh dear. Would you believe she filled up three paper grocery bags with stuff for the thrift store: pants, mostly pants, a few tops I think. I clawed those tops, the sleeves have little pick's on them, my contribution to the thrift store! One old top has a hold I chewed on the bottom, but that was when I was really a baby and didn't know any better. She says she'll drive to the thrift store today and take her bags to them. She'll probably come home with three new bags of clothes cause she always like to shop there too. In-and-out. Give some and get some. Recycle. The other day she told me I was going to be recycled if I didn't stop picking at the
ReplyDeleteday bed comforter. I have to google that word. It doesn't sound too promising. Well, that's my life story. Or this past weeks life story. I ate a bug last night. Is your ellybator working yet? Mine Mommy was big time upset again cause she went and got foodz and only one ellybator goes to the garage and somebody on the speaker said other peoples were using it to "move out" and so she had to wait with cart and groceries for one-half-hour -- in the garage!!! -- until they could send the ellybator to her. She said bad werdz again and her ice cream melted away. You cannot drag a grocery cart up 2 garage levels and 16 floors, not! She says we'll move to the 'burbs, first floor, patio. Nice. I can't wait. She is dreaming again. I hope this week is a good week. See you on Friday. Or maybe next Tuesday. Cats are moody you know.
