Feral Friday Flashback: Christmas in July!

Hola kitties! How was your week? Monday is July 25 which some people consider the official Christmas in July day. My flashback features a holiday tradition we'd started after I began blogging and was getting free product for reviews. Unfortunately, I don't do that anymore since many frown upon the practice. It was pretty pawsome getting to donate some wonderful items to my favorite shelters and rescues.

Feral Friday Flashback: Christmas in July!

Flashback Friday takes place one December day back in 2014.

Feral Friday Flashback: Christmas in July!

What's going on here? You're giving what to whom? I love this perch!

Feral Friday Flashback: Christmas in July!

How can you say I never use it so you're donating it! I've been using it all week since you changed the location. It's all about the location.

Feral Friday Flashback: Christmas in July!

TW:
Yes, we're giving it to the cats in the sanctuary along with many of your other unused toys, food and litter you didn't like and bowls. Don't you like helping your fellow, less-fortunate feline friends?
CK: No! Give away your junk that's crapping up the entire place!
TW: We're also giving some of our old towels and linens, plus laundry detergent and other items shelters need.

Friendly Fill-ins

Now it's time for Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs—need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are boldface. This week my image relates to number three.

Feral Friday Flashback: Christmas in July!

1. I think human food without meat/fish is a waste of money. These past couple of weeks have been hard on the peeps. They can't go out to do food shopping so they've been ordering a lot online. Can you believe they sell Chinese food without meat? I know when they get a pizza, there won't be any meat to be found. It's all a waste of money.

2. Lately, I spend a lot of time napping.

3. Going on vacay down in C100 is the craziest thing on my bucket list. I really enjoyed that day I spent there while we were getting the new (crappy) windows. I don't like to get in the PTU or travel but I enjoyed the hours we spent there. I explored every inch of the large room and liked that TW paid me a lot of attention. The room was closed due to the crony virus for a long time but now that it's open again, I wouldn't mind another vacay day.

4. Tuxedo Cat Day is a holiday that I'd like to create or see more celebrated. I actually did create Tuxedo Cat Day on January 29, my Gotcha Day. I would like to see it more widely celebrated.

Caturday art

Every year I'm usually on top of this but this year I blew it. Thanks to Athena for reminding me July is World Watercolor Month. I like to break out my watercolors and give the oils a rest every now and again.

Feral Friday Flashback: Christmas in July!

Without further do-do, here's what I came up with. Surprise, surprise! All the photos TW took for the shoot we used today were blurry and out of focus. I chose the "best" for the post but am using one of the really bad ones for my watercolor. Yes, I did a wonderful job, didn't I!

Caturday Art is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to showcase how talented us anipal artists are. We can use the many different digital apps, Photoshop or share original art.

  10. Hi CK (Marv waves wildly)! What a terrific watercolor! You are a lady cat of many talents. I love that you donated all that stuff. Our cat trees are in terrible shape. Mom says she is going to get us a new one this summer. I wanted it for my birthday, but Mom said that Jo Jo's birthday is about a week after mine and Kozmo's is September 23, we are getting a shared one for the blog-o-versary. I LOVED your fill-ins! Kozmo says there should be a Tuxedo Day and he says your birthday would be purrfect! I can't wait to see you at my pawty! Sending you whisker kisses and purrs. Marv (your #1 Fan Boy) Now I'm off to do the puzzle!

  11. That watercolour picture is rather lovely. It has a kind of softer look about it than usual.
Shimshi agrees about having a Tuxedo Day - with a special emphasis on GREY tuxies, who tend to get overlooked.

  12. June has been giving considerable thought to what you said and agrees that "receiving is better than giving". However, we are not of the same mind at all on this so are have some serious discussions on this matter, and
therefore do not have time for further comment.

  13. Hahaha. Bear used to wonder the same thing. What gives me the right to give away his stuff just because he doesn't use it (at the minute, hour, day, year, you get the idea).

  14. I think National Tuxedo Cat Day should be a nation wide paid day off from work!

  15. You sure gave the kitties in the shelter a great time with all your stuff, CK😺 I think Brian is right, Tuxedo Day must be CK Day and imo it must be every day😸 I hope you're all doing fine and that the outcomes of the tests are okay🙏 Your watercolor artwork is great as always and I always saw two in you CK, you have such a strong personality :D Thank you for bringing comfort on the passing of my sweet Little Binky. It's good to know that she had so many friends and that you were one of them. Thank you💗 Pawkisses from Heaven to you all🐾😽✨
