Hola kitties. I guess Spring has sprung but nothing changes for The Cat. I still sing the song of my people all night, much to the
peeps' dismay. I'm trying to get them to adapt to my hours and sleep during
the day. At least twice I've had monumental zoomies. TW can't believe I still
run that fast and keep it up for so long "at my age." Hmmmphhh! Let's get on with our program.
Friendly Fill-ins
Now it's time for Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which
is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs—need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They
think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are boldface. This
week my image relates to number two.
1. I have never been able to hide my stunningness. Of course I've never tried. I couldn't.
2. I loathe competition. I'm an only cat and that's the way it's going to stay. I'm not even fond of stuffies in my
3. I yawn when spring has sprung. The only difference in the seasons for me is that the peeps go out more when it gets warmer. Tuesday they were out all day and it wasn't even for a medical appointment. Then they capped it off by going to bingo at night. Thursday they were out all day AT a medical appointment.
4. I would like everyone to know we haven't seen BBQ Bob in quite awhile. We're seen people on his terrace but no sign of Bob. His grill is still front and center so he hasn't moved. We're starting to see The Hippies now that it's warmer and there was a super-spreader on The Model's terrace the other night.
I would also like everyone to know there are seven cats still left from
Maria's Cats. If you know anyone looking for an adult cat—they are all tabby
markings—or barn/working cats, please contact Liz at their
Facebook page. Click the link to read about them and see their handsome tabby faces. I'm
sure we'll find a way to transport them. It will be a year soon since Maria
went to the hospital.
Caturday Art
Here's number two on my modern abstract art series. Glad you guys liked last
week's art although the puzzle was kind of impossible. I'm gonna post an
easier one this week. Next week will be the really hard one. Heh heh.
This is kind of a celebration to Spring since this is my first Spring post of the year. This one delves into Cubism. It's based on an oil by Francis Picabia called Udnie from 1913. He was a French avante-garde painter, poet and typographist.
I love your art this week, CK! I wonder what's going on with the barbecue guy.
ReplyDeleteIt seems that 6:00 am is too early for mine human to read your posts to me. First she told me you were taking part in the LOAF competition and I asked her to find out more cause I want to join it, I do a good impression of a loaf if I do say so myself. Then she read that BOB got BBQed but wasn't at all tasty and I said I'd rather have TUNA. And although I really loved your early century art, being in one's UNDIE'S is really not appropriate on our kitty blogs ... after all this nonsense, I suggest she have a strong cup of coffee and return to comment at, oh, maybe 8:00 am. Ya think?
ReplyDeleteThose were good answers CK! I wonder where Bob went? Stunning art too CK!
ReplyDeleteYeah, that would be an impossible task to hide your stunningness! Love the artwork, CK.
ReplyDeleteYou are obviously in charge, CK!
ReplyDeleteThe art and puzzle were great...thanks!

Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I am glad you share your stuningness with the world. I wonder where BBQ Bob is? How sad there are still 7 of Marias cats needing homes and I still haven't found a home for Kiril's two together either. I love your art. Thank you for the puzzle. XO
ReplyDeleteLovely art, and thanks for the puzzle. I did find it easier than last week! It is strange that BBQ Bob has disappeared.
ReplyDeletePawsome art! Mudpie completely agrees about competition. She doesn't intend to ever share her territory...or human!
ReplyDeleteShared the post about Maria's cats. I'm too old myself to add any more - they might be in the same boat again. Sennding purrayers and Power of the Paw.
ReplyDeleteSo much stunning! Those imitators can't hope to compare to you. Maybe BBQ Bob is renting out his apartment as an Air b&b. Cool artwork! I'm going to repost about Maria's cats again. Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteAwesome art, CK. We are sad that there are still seven of Maria's cats looking for homes. Where could Bob be? His BBQ, and all of us, are missing him. MOL!
ReplyDeleteThat looks really cool!
ReplyDeleteYour art is really gorgeous, CK. Everywhere you turn at our house, there is competition. None of us really enjoy it, but sometimes smacky paws can be fun. ReplyDeleteThere is no way you could hide your stunningness, CK.
ReplyDeleteWe love your modernist art.
CK, you could and should never hide your stunningness. The world certainly needs it. What a shame BBQ Bob has been such a letdown lately, though luckily The Hippies and The Model are trying to make up for him. Purrs!
