TW thinks the humid weather has an effect on me
since this seems to be a regular summer occurrence. Even though Pop gives me
daily brushies, it could be hairballs, of course. Pop's far-out theory is that
I'm allergic to the flowers Uncle Vince brought TW as a Get Well/Happy
Birthday gift since I started retching the following day. It's mostly roses
and mums. TW threw the couple of lilies out immediately even though the
flowers are out of my reach and I don't chew on plants. What I do chew on is
plastic and TW found a clue in one of my poos. They also found some plastic chewed on and excused me of doing the chewing.
Friendly fill-ins
It's time to join the Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs—need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are boldface. This week my image relates to fill-in number two.1. I just can't bring myself to purr for The Woman. I purr loudly for Pop but never for TW.
2. I have a hankering for Chinese food. Good Chinese food from the original place not the places they've been ordering from.
3. Adopting some humans changed my life. I now have a roof over my head when the weather is bad and four squares a day. And treats and toys!
4. At this stage of my life, I don't play with toys too much. Once a day TW and I have a short play session. Sometimes two. It depends how I'm feeling. I've been doing the retching thing again so she knows I'm not all that into playing.
Caturday art
July is Watercolor Month. I looked through my archives of unpublished art and
I couldn't find a nice watercolor. I create mostly with oils, colored pencils,
pastels and markers. Not to disappoint my fans readers, I
dug out the watercolors and went to work on a new piece especially for you.
*Points paw menacingly at YOU.*
I know I look like I'm blind in one eye but I am showing a little blep. The brush with the green paint
slipped when I was applying the green wash. Just imagine I'm winking at *YOU*. I call this Green Eyed Lady.
Caturday Art is hosted by the lovely
Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her
mum to showcase the latest art by anipal artists using the many different
digital apps, Photoshop or original art.
I sure hope you don't have to keep enduring all that retching stuff, that's no fun.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful art!
I love your watercolor art, CK! You know, you might have a bit of plastic stuck somewhere. That happened to Sparkle once - it was way back in her throat. It took a vet to get it out. You probably didn't want to hear that last part.
ReplyDeleteThe watercolor art is terrific, and that first photo is so funny. You need to get that purr motor going for TW. We bet that would make her feel terrific. Sending lots good wishes to TW. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy & Kizmet
ReplyDeleteCK, The PO'M had a coughing jag while sitting on my lap yesterday; wish I could do more for him, but as an outside only cat, we are limited to how much we can nurse him...as if that ever stops me from trying some holistic or home remedy.
ReplyDeleteAgain, lovely art...just beautiful! I'm going to puzzle right now!
Miss Fitz does that when she eats too fast. Dad thought it was hairballs but no. I sure hope you feel better beautiful. Love your beautiful art but how could it be anything but amazing with such a good looking model. *Rumpy Winks Back* this is for You Sweetie!
ReplyDeleteRumpy Bump
We hope you feel better soon. Mom finds weird things when Raz horks.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful watercolor! Thanks for the puzzle.
The Florida Furkids
I hope you feel better CK and it stays better. It could be the heat, it's been messing up Seal and her asthma too. We enjoyed your fill-in answers and your art is purrfect!
ReplyDeleteWell, I hope you're feeling better - and that you stop chewing on plastic. Why won't you purr for TW? I think she'd appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteCK hoping all is well with you! Cody used to be so obsessed with plastic, his entire life! Stick with food CK!! Sending (((hugs)))
ReplyDeleteThat retcing and producing nothing is rough! I get that. Usually I've beeneating grass and maybe one lone of grass will come up or bot. Hurta the tummy. our art work is amazing, CK.
ReplyDeleteShoko
Sorry to hear about the retching, CK! We've been coughing and sneezing more too and I think it may have something to do with heat, humidity, and summer plants all around.
ReplyDeleteThat is outstanding water color art, it's really cool!
I am sorry about the retching, CK. Maybe not eating plastic would help. Your watercolour is lovely, and thanks for the puzzle. Do you think you could give my love to TW without biting her?
ReplyDeleteI’m sorry you’re having some issues, CK. It probably is the weather. The heat and humidity never seems to help. At least you’re eating and using the litterbox just fine.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you haven't been feeling well, CK. This summer has been rough on Mudpie's asthma too. I think you should start purring for TW...I think it would be very therapeutic for her.
ReplyDeleteSorry you're not feeling well. We're sending purrs to you to get better soon.
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better CK - maybe a few purrs for TW would cheer her up too.
ReplyDeleteThank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I hope you feel better soon. I wish you would purr for TW, it would help in her recovery. She was wise to toss the lilies. I hope you get your good Chinese food soon. I love your art. Thank you for the puzzle. XO
ReplyDeleteI hope that you feel better quickly. Sending healing purrs.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful art!
ReplyDeleteAhhhh! Retching! I, Marv did that this morning. I managed to get the remains of some mouse feet in Mom's shoes...unfortunately, she heard me and did NOT slide her feet into the shoe...Darn. Love your fill ins! I can't remember the last time we had Chinese food! I think it was in Richmond almost 2 years ago. There is no take out around us. Mom does try homemade though and it its got chicken in it, us cats turn into vultures! I hope you feel better grrrl furend.
ReplyDeleteWe like the way your watercolor turned out, CK. Sorry you've been retching and stuff. This weather is the pits. We bet it is related. Anyway, we hope you are feeling better real soon. Hugs to you, TW and Pop.
ReplyDeleteTRIXIE HAS ALSO BEEN RETCHING A LOT LATELY. MAYBE IT *IS* A SUMMER THING.
ReplyDeleteYOUR ART IS BEAUTIFUL AND VIBRANT.
We love your Watercolor, it's Purrfect just like you. We hope you feel better soon CK. Healing purrs for you and TW.
ReplyDeleteWow, lovely art. I wonder why you won't purr for TW. It's not like she deprives you of anything. Come on, give her just a little purr.
ReplyDeleteTWTW, wasn't there a TV show with that name? And do you know that R&R is s-posed to mean "rest & relaxation"? OhMyCat, you are at heart a very good girl so give the hu-mom a break, just a weelittle on and BTW June says she rather enjoys plastic too, have you tried tape? It's almost as good, tho sometimes it sticks to your tongue, or somewhere else on the way down, talk about coughing!!! However, on the way out it "holds" stuff together quite well, my hu-mom says she might not have to buy clumping litter anymore as the tape does such a good job. Sigh. Being a cat is a hard, right. Here's to a better week this week: BWTW.
ReplyDeleteWhen our Tucker had asthma, he would often puke this foamy clear stuff when he didn't feel well. Perhaps it's the same for you?
ReplyDeleteCK....cod we iz sorree ya felt like crap ona stix....hope bye de time thiz findz itz way cross de internetz yur like 100000000000000000 purrcent better.....for sure, ya knead ta leeve de plastix a lone...let de re cyclin bin eat it...YOW~~~~~ ♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteCK, you were so sweet to adopt your humans. They'd certainly be lost without you. We're sending lots of purrs and well wishes to both you and TW!
ReplyDeleteCK...Oh! She accused YOU of eating the plastic there at your house? Fine. Blame the cat. You KNOW she did it.
ReplyDeleteMom said since I take up 3/4th or more of the bed and demand services all day long, that she feels that I might consider allowing the table and chairs a place in the room. I am considering it but...I told her not to hold her breath! DON'T chew plastic. I lick the stuff and if mom leaves it within my reach I try to eat it too! AND my tissue paper.
I hope you're feeling much better soon CK and no more chewing on plastic (I love it too). Those were really good answers and even better stunning art!
