This image is far from accurate; but since there is no actual pics of the event, the humor will suffice. First off, the top four steps of the staircase were wind-y and the rest were straight. The peeps thought it would be a good idea to move the upstairs fridge down to the downstairs apartment where TW lived so they axed the smallest male friend they had for assistance. After all the item to be moved only weighed a ton or so and he must have weighed all of 130 lbs. It would be easy for Pop and G to move. Easy peezy, right? Heh heh.
They got the fridge down until they reached the bend in the stairs. It became stuck. They couldn't budge it up or down so they called a bigger guy to help. Lots of good that did. After much grunting and groaning, they managed to get the fridge back into the upstairs apartment. I can imagine the dialog and HBO words while this was going on. TW just watched and prolly prayed that no one would fall down the stairs and wind up with a 10-ton fridge on top of them.
Told you, you had to be there!
Friendly Fill-Ins
Now it's time to join the Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs—need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers which are underlined and in italics. This week my image (file footage) relates to fill-in number three.
1. I am going to give The Woman a premium bite for Christmas. I have a few levels of bites. A premium bite is the best one. Maybe I should just give her a BOGO. You know, the second bite is free.
2. I sleep 23 hours a night. I pack a lot of running, eating and especially mischief into that other hour. Don't want to tell you the mischief I got into when Pop was on a Zoom call with his boss the other day. TW had to pull him away from the meeting when my claw got caught in the drape and I was screaming in pain cos I couldn't free myself and it hurt.
3. My home is decorated with cows. Pop still hasn't put up Christmas but we do have a Christmas tablecloth.
4. Life makes me feel festive. As long as I have a roof over my head, I feel festive. Every day is a new day to celebrate.

Caturday Art
Next week I may be making an important announcement so I created a cartoon scene from my presser with bright markers on canvas. This would make a nice poster on any cat's parlor wall. Don't you agree?

Caturday Art is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to showcase the latest art by anipal artists using the many different digital apps, Photoshop or original art.
Every time my human wishes she had moved to the NYC area when she had the chance, she needs to reread the refrigerator story. Because this is SO typical of what she's heard from friends living around there.
ReplyDeleteSo did they ever manage to move the fridge? Your art is lovely as always, and thanks for the puzzle.
ReplyDeleteA stuck fridge isn't overly useful CK! Those were good answers and your art if stunningly fabulous!
ReplyDeleteOMC that had to be very frustrating for them!! Great fill-in answers and artwork. Thanks for the puzzle!

Our stirs are also crooked. They had to turn a fainting couch up on end and get it past the first bend. It was solid walnut, so no small task. No one was harmed in this other than Wanda’s psyche.
ReplyDeleteLove your fill-ins. I laughed at the first one, but I know how you love to bite.
ReplyDeleteHave a purrfect day and weekend. My best to your mom. ♥

ReplyDeleteSounds like that fridge still lives there, never to move, ever! MOL
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear of the stairs and fridge, that combination can be tough . . . loved your answers and the art is cool!
ReplyDeleteThat would've been something to see! I hope they got it all moved and situated.
ReplyDeleteOh my Cod! That must have been one gigantis frig! We're just glad you didn't get stuck upstairs with no food. Whew! close call. Loving the Fill-in Answers, too funny. And that's some cool artwork. You're looking pretty famous. Purrs
ReplyDeleteFridge moving is never a fun activity, poor peeps! I love your art and your last fill-in is my fave. Have a great weekend CK.
ReplyDeleteOMC! We can’t believe your peeps moved that fridge! If they ever need to do something like that again, maybe they should hire movers.
ReplyDeleteThank you for finally telling us that story- it is funny. And thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I had a feeling a bite would be the gift you give. :) I hope Pop gets the tree up soon. I love your art. Thank you for the puzzle. XO
ReplyDeleteMedia is waiting at your doorstep, CK!
ReplyDeleteGreat art, and thanks for the puzzle.
Moving heavy stuff is for the young...
We admire you! We have wanted to run off with the refrigerator many times but didn't have the nerve. Your cartoon emboldened us. WATCH OUT human! You may find SOMETHING MISSING in your kitchen soon! It'll be a cinch to just get it to the front porch and then....
ReplyDeleteYour story made us laugh, we hope Daddy has better luck getting the Christmas Tree out of the attic. Mom told him not to put it up there cause she is ready to decorate and he probably isn't ready to get it down. Mom likes to have it where she can get her hands on it by herself. She even tried to get it out of the attic but decided standing on a ladder trying to get something heavier than you probably wasn't the smartest ides.
ReplyDeleteI like biting Mum too. Not hard, but it's fun and I think she secretly likes it.
ReplyDeleteThe art is amazing 😻
Hee! Hee! At least no peoples was hurt with the Fridge...Did it ever get moved? The Mom had a fridge knock her down the stairs and through a wall during one move...She still has a dent in her shin. We LOVE your fill ins. Marv is thinking he might steal your #1... And we LOVE-LOVE-LOVE your poster! You and TW have a lot of talent!

I think lots of Zoom meetings are being interrupted by pets lately! Your peeps sure have some interesting adventures LOL.
ReplyDeleteMOL! Love your stories CK. So, did that refrigerator ever make it down to the first floor? Sorry about your claws, the drape, and Pop’s Zoom meeting, but the visuals had my Mom laughing really hard. Hugs n Purrs from Peekaboo, Butterfly 🦋 and AngelSmokey
ReplyDeleteCK, that art is fabulous! We liked the story about the fridge getting stuck. You are a great storyteller! MOL
ReplyDeleteYour art is really spectacular this week, CK!
ReplyDeleteBut you can't leave us with a cliffhanger like that. Did they eventually manage to get the fridge downstairs or did it stay upstairs fur effur?
I wouldn't have wanted to explain the gawd-awful cat screams to my boss. The refrigerator story is funny. Fridges weigh a ton, especially the older ones. Great art today. I'm off to try the puzzle.
ReplyDeleteMoving Fridges is difficult. When Dad was a young fella they were not and he did them himself but now... year big friends help. Great Fill-Ins and puzzle
ReplyDeleteYou're right BFGF! I bet'cha ya had to be there to get the full belly laughs going! Glad you weren't asked to help out!
