Hola kitties! Qué pasa? I got a rare treat the other day that harkened back to my ghetto kitteh days! The peeps have fast food a couple of times a year when they happen to be on the "avenue." Not 5th Avenue. The other avenue near us. This was my lucky day. They seldom bring it home but cos of 'rona, they ate it at home. Of course I jumped on the table when I smelled that bad-for-you goodness.
Apparently the light is much better on Pop's side of the table. MOL! For some reason beyond this cat's grasp, TW wants you to know that's organic catsup. Whatever. Just pass me some yum. Hold the catsup, organic or not.
Friendly Fill-Ins
Now it's time to join the Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs—need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers which are underlined and in italics. This week my image (file footage) relates to fill-in number two. This is part of one of my first Christmas cards.
1. My favorite Christmas
2. This holiday season I will miss mailing out real Christmas cards. I'm only allowed to send e-mail cards while the peeps get real cards. So not fair. They said it's cos they send less than 20 and I send about a hunnert. The peeps are gonna miss their annual family holiday pawty. A zoom pawty isn't the same.
3. I would like Santa to bring some new sisal legs for our cat tree. I've shredded the original ones. You can replace parts on Armakat trees even if Pop is too lazy to do it.
4. You might find TW passed out under my Christmas tree this year. She dips into the egg nog. (TW: No I don't!)
Caturday Art
For my art, I've done something totally different. Photography is art, right? I found Grampa's old Polaroid camera and decided to take a "selfie" of myself batting at an ornament on the tree. When it came out of the camera, the photo was all faded and the color sucked. The bulbs were so vivid too! Dunno how old the film in that camera was anyway. TW sez polaroids all looked like that even when the film was new. There's a puzzle but rather than use the art, I'm sharing the original photo the art was made from. Woot!Caturday Art is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to showcase the latest art by anipal artists using the many different digital apps, Photoshop or original art.
Hey, pass me some yum while you're at it.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a good score with the takeaway.
ReplyDeleteTW has the right idea. I nearly had a fit when I posted my overseas cards this year. I know postage has gone up but it cost over £80 and that is without the cards within the UK!
Your art looks lovely.
How cool that got some fast food Keisha! When we used to get it, our kitties liked it too! Interesting and beautiful art from the Polaroid, too. I still have some old film and film cameras around here somewhere.
ReplyDeleteUh oh, now my stomach is rumbling, CK!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the puzzle; I'll play it soon.
Oh that sandwich looks ever so good. I'm glad you got a taste.
ReplyDeleteLove all your fill-ins.
Have a purrfect day and weekend. My best to your mom. ♥
We like to grab a taste when Dad gets a fasty food sammich too. I like Fish but will go for a burger too. Hope you get your new Sisal. Dad has a tree in the garage he has to wrap for the last 90 days. Geez
ReplyDeleteThat looks like it was tasty! Now my human wants a chicken sandwich!
ReplyDeleteP.S. If you really want to try the freeze dried chicken livers you saw on the blog, I've still got a $10 gift code available - message me on FB if you want it.
CK, we need photographic proof of TW passed out under the tree!
ReplyDeleteYou sure scored some yum bites CK! Those were fun answers and super art too!

The Florida Furkids
Lucky you to get a fast food taste, CK. We’ve never had the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteYour art is SO great! The sammich looks yummy too. I still need to try the Silk nog TW told me about.
ReplyDeleteThank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I am glad you scored some yummies. I am sorry you don't get to send out cards, but e-cards are nice too. And I hope Santa brings you those replacement legs. I love your art. Thank you for the puzzle. XO
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha, "Bad-for-you goodness"- that sounds just like something dad would say about all the stuff mom won't let him eat anymore!
ReplyDeleteSo jealous. My peeps never eat fast food, well maybe a salad an a griddled chickhen on the road.
ReplyDeleteWhen Mom took the car to get new winter tires, her and Cinnamon came home with KFC!!! We thought that was the best stuff ever! CK! your Caterday Art is AMAZING! It lloks like a retro Christmas Card! TW and you are fabulishious artists! And we laughed when we readed your Fill-ins! Especially #1.

We love your polaroid art!
ReplyDeleteYour comment on the second picture. "Woman, have I ever told you that you're my favorite?" while you're staring at her sandwich. Too funny.
ReplyDeleteAw, shoot. Now we want a chicken sammich, too!
ReplyDeleteCK, we love your polaroid art. TW's telling the truth ... polaroids looked like that even in ral life.
Thank you so much for your sweet and kind comments about our sweet Gracie's passing. She was an amazing kitty, and we miss her so much.
CK, you'll be getting a card from us with a surprise inside and a howdy to your mom & pop! Didn't I hear somewhere that Christmas is for kids and cats, anyway? That sandwich looks good..lunchtime here! - Tom x
ReplyDeleteFast food is GOOD, CK. And it can never be fast enough (mol).
ReplyDeleteWe love your purrlaroid art.
I really like your art today and I'm going to do the puzzle. Mom has so little artistic skill that she couldn't create a decent ecard. Regular mail cards are her style.
ReplyDeleteCK, you're so kind to let the peeps eat so much of that sandwich. You could easily have claimed it all as your own. And such fantastic fill-ins, as always! We're finally getting our cards sent out in the mail in the next day or two, but emailed cards can be just as festive and nice. Your card is always stunning, CK, and whether emailed or snail mailed, it makes us happy. Purrs!
