Feral Friday: Howloween Scaries

Hola kitties. I like to keep informed on what the neighbors are up to. Y'all know about Bunhead, the Hippies (Pink Shoelaces/Bushy Head), BBQ Bob and the Doobies. There's one house I haven't told you about and for good reason. It's the Haunted House! OoooooOOO! (Make sure you hover and read the secret messages! I'm telling a story here!)

Feral Friday: Howloween Scaries

The Haunted House is across the street from the Hippies and catty corner in back of us. It was a rooming house when the peeps moved in. A few years after they moved in, a renter blew himself up in his car outside the rooming house. It was gristly. The rooming house has been empty for years. Lately there's been some action.

Feral Friday: Howloween Scaries

A few weeks ago, TW noticed a dumpster outside the Haunted House but there still were no lights on at night inside the place until a few days ago. There was no one going in or out of the place but yet the lights were on and the shades were going up and down. Then we noticed—gasp—ghosts and they were staring out the window! We circled the window with one of the ghosts so you could see it.

Inside the house was all fire and brimstone. What did I expect? It IS a haunted house. Of course I wasn't scared; in fact, I confronted that ghost. My teeth and claws are sharp so I have no fear. TW swore she heard scary laughter coming from the house. Bwahaha! She's got some imagination but not enough to make up a scary story to complete this post. Everyone's entitled to one good scare and TW got her's.

It happened cos you've now seen photographed proof! This is an untouched pic taken from our window with our cheapo point-and-shoot's zoom lens.

Friendly Fill-ins

Now it's time to join the Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs—need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers which are underlined and in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. Today it applies to number one.

Feral Friday: Howloween Scaries

1. I keep drinking from the fountain, but TW still doesn't want to give me kibble.

2. I don't need any new toys or beds, but I want everything I see other blogging cats get. If some cat is reviewing a cat bed, I want it every though I have about four of them packed away. If another cat is giving away a new toy, I have to have it and I'll cry if I don't win. I guess I might have FOMO or something.

3. I would want this cat play bites to be etched onto my tombstone. This is the same message as was on my cage at the adoption event I found the peeps at. That it would also say The World's Most Stunning Cat is a given.

4. If I heard something go bump in the night, I'd presume TW was hitting the sauce again.

Caturday Art

To keep up with the scary theme, I created some scary art and turned one into a puzzle. In fact I turned myself into a ghost in the first one. Would I scare the ghost in the Haunted House.

Feral Friday: Howloween Scaries

Bwahahaha! I am the Ghost of Howloween Present!

Caturday Art is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to showcase the latest art by anipal artists using the many different digital apps, Photoshop or original art.

Happy Howloween! As Edgar Allen Poe says "Believe nothing you hear and only one half that you see."

Most importantly: HAPPY BIRTHDAY POP!

  1. That was a darn good story and I'm not sure I'd go anywhere near that haunted house, but I'd be watching too. Those were good answers too and your art is Halloween magical CK! Happy Halloween!!!

  2. Happy Birthday, Pop!
We don't give out kibble either, CK; it's really not good for cats.
However, since The PO'M won't come inside, we have to feed him outside in the coldest time of the year, and wet food freezes faster than he can eat it, so he gets kibble.

  3. Oh My Cat that was a little, disturbing, to meow the least. Peoples dont realize that we cats have a deep connection to the spirit side and ghost and the like must give us sway or face the claw. Your friendly fill ins were wonderful and we were all laughing along with our typist. Fear of Missing Out! We have that especially at Treat Time. Great Art and Happy Halloween! Hope you stop by our pawty tomorrow

  13. That does look haunted. Looks like an alien's head in the window. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. You deserve to have everything every cat has. Sorry you don't get kibble despite being good at getting a drink. I love both of your artworks. Happy Birthday to your wonderful Pop! XO

  14. That is one spooky house, CK! But we know you ain’t afraid of no ghosts! :)

  15. Happy birthday to Pop! Maybe you can only bite him once or twice on his big day, CK? See, in this house, I see the stuff I think my cats want. And the majority of the stuff we get? BIG FLOPS. HUGE. GIANT. And then there's the really awkward correspondence with some company saying tactfully that my cats won't use said xyz. Recently, they were both too terrified to go near some toys we got. Geez. Lesson learned (not really).

  21. Quite the artist you are, Stunning Keisha. Ooh, I think I see that ghost there in the window, too! Mom likes old houses that most people think look scary. I think I'd like some of those old houses, too, 'cause there'd be all kinds of interesting smells, rooms and passages to explore. Tee hee hee. Winks.
