Feral Friday—Love at First Bite

Hola kitties! Happy Valentine's Day if that's your thing. Me, I ain't got time for stuff like that. Love can only break your heart. Male cats? I have a few. Parker S. Kat sends me a Valentine's box every year and lots of cards. Buzz used to send me cards and so did Spitty. Cards are nice; treats are better. Heh heh. I show my love by biting. I bite all the things I love—treats, Furbie, Pop—and some I barely like—TW.

Feral Friday—Love at First Bite

Yes, I am putting the bitey on my Valentine. My bestest BF sent me a valentine! Thank you, Parker! Isn't it pretty? It's all sparkly too.

Feral Friday—Love at First Bite

There were a LOT of photo fails to get one halfway decent shot.

Feral Friday—Love at First Bite

He also sent TW a bracelet, which I sincerely hope wasn't supposed to be a collar for your's truly. There was a candle with a romantic card. With all the noise in the hall from the window installs, it was hard to get a shot with me looking at TW.

This is for you, Parks. ❤️ u.

Now it's time to join the Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers which are underlined and in italics. Any further comments on my part are in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. Today it applies to number four.

1. I always carry my stunningness with me. I never leave home without it. TW always carries a can of wet cat food and some treats with her cos whenever she leaves them home, she runs into a stray/lost cat who comes up to her begging.

2. I would love to know why spell check is missing on my post composer? I don't use it much anyway but sometimes I do like when I'm too lazy to look up a spelling. HAH! I think my fur must be turning orange with that last sentence.

3. I express my love in the form of a bite. What? Why is everyone looking at me funny? Did I tell a joke? I'm not laughing.

4. Pop makes me feel like the luckiest individual CAT alive. He always makes a big fuss over me right after he gets up. Then he leaves me for the day and I cry and cry. The image above shows Pop laying with and comforting me after a vet visit.

Feral Friday—Love at First Bite

I painted this yesterday and I hope you like it. The puzzle will show you more of the detail. It will be my Feral Friday entry in the Caturday Art blog hop which is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to showcase the latest art by anipal artists using digital apps, Photoshop or original art. No talent? No problemo. There are hundreds of one-click apps for desktop or mobile devices that will turn your photos into digital works of art.

WE NEED ADVICE! Next Thursday, we're getting new windows, which from all indications, will be VERY loud work and all three of our windows will be out at once. This will take the better part of a day. TW is stressing big-time over what to do with The Cat. I think she's afraid I'll jump out one of our fourth-floor windows. She's thinking of renting a crate to put in the "safe area" I go to after a thunder storm (under the dressing table) and putting a towel over it. Would it be better to let me hide in the closet or someplace where I could muffle the sound more? Does anyone have any advice or suggestions? TIA.

Would you like to comment?

  1. A crate probably wouldn't be a bad idea - sometimes Bowie has to go in one when repairmen come over.

  2. P.S. Bowie tries to bite my head sometimes. Does he luv me?

  3. No man cat could ever hang his collar on you, but you can’t blame me for trying. If you are interested in crystals, I wonder if the hematite would help some of your panics. Otherwise I think it is just plai. Fun to play with the bracelet.

    Love,
    Parker

  4. What a pretty Valentine's Day card! None of us here care about noise and strangers (in fact, Boodie is deaf, so noise has no effect on her). If there is some way to keep you away from all the commotion, that's probably what your humans should do.

  5. Love all your fill-ins.

Do you have a family member that knows your kitty? Having them safe out of the house while the work is being done would be a good thing. The stress of the work lingers long after the workers leave.

Have a fabulous day and weekend. Happy Valentines Day. ♥

  6. Beautiful Valentine's Day art and lovely gifts - someone sure loves you CK! Happy Valentine's Day.

  7. Cannot wait to puzzle, CK!
My brother used to install replacement windows, and it's best to keep CK stowed away where she won't be bothered by the installers. A room or closet is a good idea; I'm not sure about a crate since even with a blanket over it will be very quiet.
    Happy Valentines!

  8. Those were great answers CK and a very cool card you got. Happy Valentine’s Day from all of us CK! Now then, I think you need the crate, you won't like it a bit but it's better to be safe CK.

  11. For safety, a crate. Can you fit the crate in the closet to help with the noise? And Happy Valentine's Day!

  12. All quiet around here, at the moment, just waiting for all my roses to arrive and then the party will start and Mrs H will go to bed.
A lovely card from Parker, he must think an awful lot about you – maybe you could stay with him whilst the construction crew do their work. Separate cat beds, naturally ;)

  13. That is a lovely card and gifts from Parker.
I turned off spell checker long ago because it kept trying to make me spell the US way. There is no UK English checker that I could find. At least it makes me check before I publish.
Your art as always is lovely. Thanks for the puzzle too.

  14. Great artwork and fun puzzle. We thnk the crate might be safest. We would be afraid a closet might get opened accidentally.

    Happy Valentine's Day!

  18. Those are all beautiful cards and gifts. Everyone loves you CK. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins great answers. I had a feeling that #3 would be biting :) Thank you for the beautiful art and puzzle. I would lock you in the closet for safety instead of a crate, you will have more room that way. XO

  19. That's a great Valentine you got, CK. It's almost as stunning as you!

We vote for a crate. It won't be fun, but it's better to be safe than sorry. XO

  22. If we're being honest, CK, we thought you might say you express your love in the form of bites. There's nothing wrong with that, of course. It just means your love is very, very sharp.
