Enough chit chat. Let's get down to business.

This cardboard box isn't exactly a barn in foto #8899 from December 2017. My lasers are boring right through that cardboard scratcher I had to review for Chewy. I'll come right out and say I'm not down with cardboard scratchers so I enjoyed the box better than what was in it. Perhaps I'm trying to make it disappear which it eventually did when it found a home with a kitty on Next Door. Thanks to Eric and Flynn's mum for giving me an excuse to retell this story and publish this foto.

OMC! I'm stunning in foto #969 which was chosen by Raz, Allie and Noelle from Friends Forever. This April 2010 foto was taken on the kitchen table along with about 10 other equally stunning shots. I like the way the yellow glow of the light shines off my furs. I wanted attention while TW wanted to read the paper. I figured by staring at her, she'd get the hint although she's as dense as can be. You need sharp teeth to bite through such a hard nut.

The fancy graphic means it's time for the Friendly Fill-Ins, a feature held once a week at this time. Let's meet our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are underlined and in italics with further comments in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. This week it relates to number three. I do know how to yowl.
1. If it wasn't for Pop, I would still be looking for a home or dead on the street or in a shelter. I always think of more than one answer. If it wasn't for TNR groups, there would be many, many more feral cats roaming the streets. Still there are some haters.
2. Trap before neuter and release. Actually feed first to gain their trust so you can trap.
3. Yowling is my preferred method of communication. If that doesn't work, biting or staring at TW certainly works. You should hear the yowling, feral sounds I make at night and even during the day when I want to be walked to my food. On the other paw, TW can yowl pretty good too after my teeth penetrate her.
4. You can't buy common sense. This is something very few humans seem to possess. No matter how rich or influential you are, you either have it or you don't.

Whoa! This painting took forever and a day to complete—or maybe a half hour. I dreamt an image which I thought would look a bit like a psychedelic poster. Always the purrfectionist, I took it into Photoshop and replaced the background with a textured pattern which I painted blue. A watercolor overlay at about 35% opacity which kinda gives the appearance I'm under water. The oil paint filter completed the piece—or did it.

NO! I still wasn't satisfied. I changed the saturation or whatever that thingy next to the opacity to Hue and—looky—it's a bit like a Dean Russo painting or something Marvelous Marv's mom would create. You can see the background pattern better on this one. I couldn't decide which one I preferred. Do you have a preference?
You created some exceptional art this week, CK!
ReplyDeleteI prefer the second art as it stands out more. It is lovely (and so are you.)
ReplyDeleteIn the photo that I chose, you really do look like you are trying to will that scratcher to disappear..
That was fun art and fun photos too CK! Tell Moo we send a howdy!
ReplyDeleteYou're a good looking kitty. I love, love, love your artwork.
ReplyDeleteKitties always do a better job with Friendly Fill-ins.
Have a purrfect day and weekend. My best to your mom. ♥
Ooh, either image would make a good jigsaw puzzle, just sayin'! LOL!
ReplyDeleteCK, suggest nicely to your peeps that you want a sisal rope scratcher, one that is vertical and goes up high enough that you can s-t-r-e-t-c-h 'way up!
So you're a yowler, CK? So is Harley. It's very funny. I should try and record it.
ReplyDelete#969 is a stunning shot of you. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I am glad you were rescued, I wish all kitties were so lucky. Excellent answer to spay/neuter. I would love to hear you yowl. :) I can't wait to see some photos of Moo. I am glad she arrived safely. Too bad she wasn't there last week, she could have said hi to Summer. Both of your art pieces are nice, but I prefer the second. That would make a nice puzzle- just saying. Have a great weekend! XO

ReplyDeleteI love the pink lips in your art! Mudpie ate a few pieces of ham deli meat the other night...I was shocked! She never touches people food.
ReplyDeleteI prefer the original ;) CK's purrfect just the way she is ... well ... except maybe for the bite-y thing. But Bear understands perfectly!
ReplyDeleteMOL..we had to MOL on your third answer of the fill-ins, CK😸You have to make a video of that😹Your artworks are both beautiful, but we purrefurr the second one more, because we can see you better . Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend🐾😚😻
ReplyDeleteThat art is fab! Have a great Saturday cutie!
ReplyDeleteYour art is stunning. Glad Moo arrived safely.
ReplyDeleteGreat artwork, CK. In fact, it's stunning! :)
ReplyDeleteWe love what you did with number 2 on your fill ins. And number 4 ... yup.
Hugs to you, TW and Pop!
I wish we could buy common sense. If we could, I would buy a lot of it and give it away around here. Common sense doesn't appear to have made it to the Texas Gulf Coast and, judging by the tone of a letter sent by the government to one of our friends, it doesn't appear to have a big presence in Washington, D.C. either. Have a blessed week.
ReplyDeleteYour artwork is great. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteI am glad that you have found a good home with folks that love you. I yowl pretty good when Tiglet or one of the Soot Sprites chomp me, too! They have some mighty powerful teeth and claws.
Have a blessed Sunday and week!
Such beautiful art. And you are so right about the lack of human common!
ReplyDeletePurrs xx
Athena and Marie
*common sense.
ReplyDeleteOh, absolutely love this art, beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry we're so late to comment, CK! Did you show Moo your laser eyes, so that she knows you're the only royalty around those parts? We are so glad that, thanks to your Pop, you rule over your home like the royalty that you are. Oh, and Evan is with you on the yowling. If a human is ignoring you, yowl to punish them and their eardrums, and then of course make sure you get what you want. Purrs!
