Friday I showed an unedited foto of my "mauve thing" that isn't really mauve and it isn't even a cat bed. Summer noticed that last fact on my post in Foto #1144. You have good young eyes Summer.
The first cat bed TW ever bought for Autumn was mauve and was a cat bed. That bed lasted until the great flea invasion of 2000. My first cat bed aka mauve thing was light blue and I loved that bed. Like all well used cat beds, it eventually fell apart. An actual mauve bed followed that which I never used. TW was desperate to find a bed that I'd like. My criteria was it had to be blue.
The original mauve thing. Frankly, it looks pink to me but TW swears the catalog listed the color as mauve. Whatever. I notice TW couldn't focus with the analog Olympus either. MOL! |
She wasn't shopping online at the time so she went to our local pet store. The navy dog bed was the only one they had that was small, blue, had a removable pillow and could be washed. She took it. Usually we either take pics like the one above or 'shop out the dog. Being as it was Foto Frenzy, we couldn't do any 'shopping.
So now you know. Thank you, Summer, for providing a much needed blog topic.
Hey, whatever floats your mauve thing, ya know CK?
ReplyDeleteAround my house most things can be any color, as long as it's blue! :D So you have good taste my dear CK, even if it was intended for woofies, it's yours and all 'cat' now!
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know it was one of those Big Photoshop Secrets! MOL
ReplyDeleteNon-kitty kitty beds are all the rage around here, too, CK. The only bed Eddy will use is one made for a dog roughly 10 times her size, and that has a giant dog bone design on it.
ReplyDeleteWe need more beds here CK, I think the Dad should go shopping!
ReplyDeleteColor is very important!
ReplyDeleteWhichever. We think that bed looks super cozy and makes us wonder why, oh why, we don't have any cozy beds around here. Huh, Mom??
ReplyDeleteSince cats perceive colors in different color spectrum than humans, what color do you want now ;-)
ReplyDeleteSometimes its hard to tell color with cats. Grey cats and blue cats are the same color some time.
ReplyDeleteck.....ya noe....

Good job Summer!! We didn't notice the woofie until she pointed it out.

PS - ConCats on being one of the winners of the Chewy St Patrick's day contest!
MOL Oh CK, we're not sure, but we hope you liked your blue dog bed. Big hugs

Well, its pink on our monitor, mauve on the PC and whatever you want for a Monday!
ReplyDeleteThat mauve was very pretty! Mudpie is such a girly girl I don't think she'd like a blue bed :) She has a light pink donut bed and a Coccolino purple one.
ReplyDeleteAutumn was beautiful and so are you.
ReplyDeleteSummer does have very good eyes! We have lots of dog stuff here. Goro loves dog toys :-)
ReplyDeleteYour dog bed is pretty cool!
Interesting that you only want a blue mauve thing, CK.
ReplyDeleteThere's no logic to cat bed choice here- sometimes it seems to be more of a time of day thing. I haven't noticed a color preference. More of a "if it costs more it must be ignored" attitude...
ReplyDeleteNice Chewy's image- congratulations! I hope they send you lots of good loot.

Yep, definitely looks pink to me, too. But comfy knows no color.
ReplyDeleteIf it works for you, you can call it anything you want, CK. Kitty used to frustrate me because I bought her cat bed after cat bed only to have Kitty turn her nose up at them. Nope. She preferred just a plain box. And when there was an errant hairball ... she didn't forgive me for throwing her chosen box out. On the plus side, Bear seems to dig the cat beds ... I have them on the perches of his cat tree because the perches don't have a lot of padding and don't seem like they'd be comfortable on their own. So I guess it all worked out in the end.
