Hoppy Easter!
Sometimes it seems like everything around here revolves around food. I showed you the diorama sugar eggs during the week. Now get ready for the two-and-a-half-pound chocolate bunny. Everything is being down-sized this year.
Take these props I'm posing with. Years back Pop used to get the 4-lb choco bunny. They still sell it but Pop chose to go small, not that I care cos I can't eat chocolate.
TW has had her eyes on a yuge plush peep rabbit for weeks. When push came to shove, she came home with the smaller 17-in. model. What the hell-o kitty? It's half the size, less than half the price and half the fun. She said if they have any on sale after Easter, she'll pick one up. Again, why should The Cat care?
I care cos I'm being forced to pose with such puny impostors. My stunning beauty would blow them out of the water any day of the week. I need a challenge. I need the "wow" factor. No one is gonna say wow over these.
This mama bunny is older than the peeps. Rumor has it that it was hand-made by someone Gramma knew. Of course it would have to be home-made, since they didn't have machinery in those days. The colors are worn but the old girl will be here long after my peeps.
I did my art in Photoshop this week. I used the poster edges filter and then we ran a painting action.
Then I picked out a few online frames to show off a few of the hunnerts of thousands of shots TW took this very morning. Can you imagine if this Peep was edible?
Let me wish a very Happy Easter to those who celebrate. The humans should eat lots of chocolate and real peeps so that they leave lots of ham for the kitties.
I'm participating in the Caturday Art Blog Hop hosted by Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty. Since it's almost Sunday I'll also participate in the Selfies Sunday Blog Hop hosted by Kitties Blue because I can. Thanks to those hosts for all the hard work they do to provide me the platform to show my creativity and reach out across the Blogosphere. Click the links to join in the fun and see more great blogs.
As long as your peeps aren't spending your food money on their stuffed peeps, why should you care, you're a cat after all. 😉

HI CK. I'd be a bit miffed I had my mice down sized, so you deserve the full size bunny. Having said that, a mouse the size of that bunny could be a bit frisky, even for me. MOL Wishing you all a Very Happy Easter
ReplyDeletePurrs, Erin
