Cat Throws Up! Exclusive Foto!!

I wanted to try this thing called clickbait that I’ve been hearing about. You know, you sensationalize the title of a post and the masses flock to it. Kinda like the old tabloids World Weekly News and Examiner. Come on, your peeps are lying if they say they never picked one up while they were waiting to check out at the supermarket.

Coming from a publishing background, TW has always felt that the title is the most important part of any post. She likens it to a magazine cover line. When you go to a newsstand to buy a magazine, the cover line has only a couple of seconds to grab your attention before you reach for another magazine. It shouldn’t be clunky or long but short and to the point. Likewise on a blog hop. Since no one could visit all the links in a blog hop, TW clicks on the ones with the catchiest, most inneresting titles. We might not always come up with the catchiest of titles but we try. Of course, the post needs substance too or we won’t fall for that catchy title again.

Yeah, back to the subject at hand. I gave birth to another hairball last week just to let TW know I was happy she was home. She brought me some neat swag, including some from my furrends The Island Cats, The Farm Cats from Broken Tepee, the foster kitties of Random Felines, The Cats on My Head, and an official glass from Ashton’s Chicken Emporium. What better way to show my feelings for TW.
This neat swag was from The Cat On My Head.

So anyway, TW heard the telltale gurgling and knew I was about to hurl. She quickly grabbed the paper towels (note to Bounty and Viva: your paid ad would look good here!) to begin the clean up. Next she got out the pawsome Capture Carpet Cleaning kit. True, they’re not affiliates and they’re not paying me to say this but it works. She bought the kit when they first moved into the condo with Nicky and Autumn. There are no harsh chemicals so it’s pet safe. Before she vacuums it out, she does put a piece of newspaper over it so I won’t step in it. It’s advertised to be safe but she’s not taking any chances. Thirty minutes later, it’s clean and ready for another hairball.

Here comes the image of the alien hairball you’ve been waiting to see! (Don’t look if you have a weak stomach.) There are some nasty things in there.

Did you click on this post because of the title or because my blog is usually an inneresting read or was it the absolutely stunning lead photo?

Would you like to comment?

  1. Well, I always enjoy your blog and would have stopped by anyway ...but yes the title grabbed me and I admit I looked at the photo. Gross!

P.S.: The cats are taking over our blog on Monday. Hope you will stop by for a visit.

  2. Nice one! You would get more points if it were on a solid-color carpet, but still--good job. I have not frowed up lately because it has been very chilly. I usually do my best barfing in September and October when it gets really hot. You look especially stunning in that first picture.

  5. MOL! That looks almost exactly like the hair/grass ball Shiner hocked up the other day. I like your tips about titles CK. I try too, but sometimes if I'm at a loss I'll go with a simple approach.

  6. My human's boyfriend left town for a couple of days and both Binga and Smokey (my human's dad's cat who is looking for a home) hacked up hairballs in his absence. Of course, he will never know this because my human cleaned up after them. All that effort wasted.
