How did she find me hiding in here?

Last week King Spitty complained about how narrow his window sill was. I commented that not only was  mine wide—just like TW—but I had my own prayer rug to lay on while I watched Bird-tv. In fact, I have two prayer rugs. One is green and one is beige. Right now, I'm availing myself of the beige one. TW bought them a hunnert years ago at some Going Out of Business Sale. But that's really TMI. What's neat about the location of the rug is that it's hidden behind a piece of furniture so I can be alone with my thoughts. Recently Spitty axed me  Do you pray to Ceiling Cat on it? Is it comfy?

Happy Independence Day!

Every July 4th, aka Independence Day, the peeps head out to the courtyard to grab a good seat to watch Macy*s 4th of July fireworks. They've been kind enough to have it on the Hudson River for the past few years. There are no big crowds—only neighbors who live in the complex—and no traffic to contend with. Here I'll mention that I'm left alone in the apartment while they're out there oohing and aahing. There were a couple of nice fireworks' displays in June that the peeps could watch from their window, whether they took place in Central Park, Times Square or da Bronx.

Here's a short video that TW took of a small part of last year's Macy*s fireworks display from our courtyard. Please excuse the quality. If you look closely at the 2nd part, you can see the Empire State Building lit up in red, white and blue in the background. You can watch it on YouTube here. The music is a song called Independence Day by the Orphan Trains. The lady singing is somehow distantly related to TW although they've never met.

Enjoy July 4th safely. Be responsible and remember that fireworks can scare your furry family members so keep your cats indoors and keep a leash on your dog so he/she doesn't run away. Wednesday Word of the Day—Thief

HHGutt here. Hola! Look what I found! It was laying right on MY bed! I think it is mine. After all possession is nine-tenths of the law. At least it is where I come from. Qué is her problemo? Why is she always fussing at me?

He stole my smousy!

What the… CK is back and I'm pretty P.O.ed. That's MY bed and MY smousy toy that Wally, Ernie, and Zoey IslandCat sent me. They sent me a wonderful package in the mail with noms, nip, a fuzzy smousy toy and THAT smousy. That's also MY Colorado Catnip blankie he's laying on! Who does HHGutt think he is?

This isn't the first toy he's stolen from me. TW bought me 2 Silvervine fishies about a year ago. She gave me one and put the other one away in her room. It disappeared and I KNOW who has it. I haven't caught him with it yet but he keep taunting me. He doesn't know I have brass claws with his name on them.

Not to mention the day he hijacked MY blog back in 2010 or when he locked me in the closet. He even gets to go to Blogpaws as Plush CK. It's not fair! It's not easy living with a zombie cat who's a thief and a crook. Every time he attacks the peeps, I get blamed for it! It's not easy being the World's Most Stunning Cat.

BREAKING NEWS!! HHGutt is considered to be the prime suspect in the disappearance of the cat pin that I donated to the CB auction for Mom Laura. If this pin doesn't turn up in the next day or two, I'm gonna Waterboard him until he talks. I'll mess him up real good and I ain't kidding.

Hot Fun in the Summertime

July is already here and soon we be hearing fireworks all over. My peeps consider themselves lucky because of where we live. We can usually see NYC fireworks from our window or down in the courtyard. Me? I'm not so lucky. While loud noises in the hall send me scurrying to my office UTB, I don't seem to mind loud noises outside, including fireworks. I've gotten used to hearing the jackhammers and other assorted noises all night as they repair the Lincoln Tunnel helix. Those are noises that the peeps can't get used to.

TW was born in July well over a hunnert years ago. It's also the month that MLB holds the All Star Game. While the game is usually boring, TW likes the watch the player innerductions. Of course this year the only Yankee who deserves to be an All Star is Mariano Rivera. This year's game takes place in NY at Shitty Citi Field where the Mutts Mets play.
