Feral Friday—Keisha Van Gogh

Hola kitties! Qué pasa? This is going to be an all-art post! Today's post was going to be a flashback but several of you have requested some tips on handling the big Mr. AI monster. After seeing some of our AI creations over the past couple of weeks, we're not the experts to ax for advice. For each good one, there are many, many fails that will never see the light of day. If at first you don't succeed, try something sneakier is my advice. HAH!

Feral Friday—Keisha Van Gogh

The lead pic was one the famous Vincat Van Gogh painted of me. You may have heard of him. He also painted that Starry Starry Night and some others that hang in some fancy museums. Anyhoo, I was honored that he chose to paint Moi, even if he used some artistic license and made my nose the wrong color. You can still tell it's me cos it's stunning.

Using AI for image to text

I did come up with some "tips" in Night Café, which don't work every time. At the beginning, it's prolly better if you use "stable" algorithm rather than "artistic" if you don't want to wind up with an overcooked image. Artistic doesn't let you choose prompt or base image weight.

Yes, we do create monsters but we play with the settings to try to bring out our original image a bit more. By changing the prompt weight, our monster almost turned into ME—if I was a tabby, that is. Unfortunately TW doesn't remember which image we used as a base image but both the images above were made from the same photo.

On this one, we started with 60 strength on the one on the right and went down to 30 strength on the left and got rid of a bit of the tabby markings. You can also evolve an image if you don't like the way it turned out with new settings or a new base image.

Do you have any tips for us?

CATURDAY ART

Caturday Art is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to showcase how talented us anipal artists are. We can use the many different digital apps, Photoshop, AI art or share original art. Actually all the art programs/apps use AI but they employ picture to picture, rather than text to pictures.

Vincent van Gogh's (not to be mistaken for VinCAT Van Gogh) birthday was last week so I decided to see if I could paint like him—with the assistance of Mr. AI.  I didn't want to usual Starry Night look which you can get easily with any of the image editors. We used the simple prompt "Cat in the style of Van Gogh."

This is the art from the header.

I painted myself with actual Van Gogh paintings in back of me.

Can you guess which Van Gogh painting this is? There are puzzles for the second and third painting.

FRIENDLY FILL-INS

We are going to shake things up and do the fill-ins last. Let's answer some of these Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs—need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are boldface. This week my image relates to number four although it's the wrong tunnel.

Feral Friday—Keisha Van Gogh

1. Nailing jello to a wall is like nailing jello to a wall. TW says getting Wordle in one or two tries is like nailing jello to a wall.

2. I could use a break from getting dosed. This includes both the ear stuff and the pred TW laces my midnight snack with every night. I mean, TW has been getting a chemo break. Shouldn't I get a break too?

3. I'd like to thank Miss Ellen for the Easter Churus. Thank you so much!  TW wants to thank her for always being there to listen to her bitching about her health and treatment.

4. Just in case I need to frow up, I find a rug. Of course my Tunnel of Pain will do nicely too. The added benefit is it's hard for TW to get in there to clean it. She now calls it the Tunnel of Puke.

  2. CK, those portraits of you based on Van Gogh style and elements turned out beautifully! Stunning, in fact! I appreciate the tips, I will try these in the far future. I need to learn more about the old style photo editing first. I'm going from the ground up, and, being chronicly ill, learning new things can be difficult for me. Love the fill ins!

  5. I LOVE all this art. Your are quite the expert. Thank you for the tips. I tried Night Cafe once, I put in cat in a fairy garden and I could not find a cat in there. :) Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers, especially #3 , you and TW are so sweet. The only Van Gogh I know is Starry Night. Thank you for 2 puzzles too. XO

  6. You are so good at that AI stuff, we're avoiding it like the plague as long as we can. Those were really good fill-in answers too.

  8. You may not be an expert on AI art, but you've figured out way more than the rest of us, for sure! We love your art this week!

  9. Hi from June-essa VainGo here, who has given up entirely on AI [except purrhaps to indulge one more time in the old, was it Bruce Willis and some cute kid ? movie about it ?]. However, now with your tutoring maybe, just maybe we'll give it one more try. We don't want random-cats, we want me/myself/I the JuneCat and that is the problem, it is not me that is there. Sigh. I do love love your last two most especially with his paintings in the background, those are truly AI at it's best. It is an issue when you are a from an illustrious family tree of VainGo's as I am ... see you next time.
