Feral Friday Flashback: Who's a Winner?

Hola kitties! Everyone reading this is a winner! Ready for another exciting post. I may have an update on TW's fight with the big C coming up after my flashback, fill-ins and fabulous art. How was your week? I eat (sometimes), sleep (all the time) and play (rarely). It's a cat's life.

Back in the day when blogging was fun cos our Photoshop actually worked, I used to enter contests and sometimes I even won. Such was the case in 2010 when I entered a contest on One Spoiled Cat.

Sammy sent some wonderful prizes; some of which I may still have squirreled away. The treats aren't one of them. Those disappeared. Check out the teething ring.

Occasionally TW tries to tempt me with the tweeting birdie wand toy. Fun but no cigar. Like I said I rarely play. I do use the cord to floss on.

Friendly fill-ins

Let's answer some of Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs—need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the correct answers. My answers are boldface. This week my image relates to number three.

1. I wish my town (city) had a TNR/TNRV program. The next town over had one but abandoned it a year or two ago saying it was too expensive. They didn't count on the volunteers caring and taking sick kitties to the vet for more than just TNRV. Another local town has someone running for mayor who has a TNR program as one of his campaign points.

2. So far, this year has been sucky. Politics, sports, health, everything's sucky. There are signs it could be improving in some of these areas.

3. Store-brand cat food is a little too cheap for my liking. Litter too. This little ghetto kitteh deserves the best and most expensive. After all, you get what you pay for. The food in the image isn't store brand—at least not in this country. I'm enjoying it which is why I've never seen it again.

4. Even if I bite and don't show it, I really appreciate having a home and all the peeps do to try to keep me healthy.

Caturday art

Caturday Art is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to showcase how talented us anipal artists are. We can use the many different digital apps, Photoshop, AI art or share original art. Actually all the art programs/apps use AI but they employ picture to picture, rather than text to pictures.

Night Cafe did this pastel for me way before they started doing the text to art AI stuff. So funny I crushed the tunnel before TW did. I dug this outta the archives and hope I haven't used it before.

We've done some sweet AI art this week but even though the markings in this one aren't quite mine, the facial features and 'tude are. Don't even think I used a base image for this one. Funny I should have used the prompt "cat DJ" cos I am a cat DJ and if'n TW is feeling up to it—and she better be—I'll be working the turntables at the annual Twitter #Chilipawty on May 13. Speaking of winning, I'll be donation a prize or two. It's easy to win.

TW update

Don't believe the fortunes that come in fortune cookies. HAH! As if anyone with a brain would. When you have cancer, you grasp at straws and believe those little slips of paper. TW had gotten some great ones this year before her last scan: "All the news you receive will be good" and "Good news will come to you from far away." She wanted so much to believe them.

We axed AI "what does cancer look like."

The scan was anything but good news. Apparently the clinical trial which almost killed her didn't work. More new spots means more strong chemo. Today TW goes to "the chair" for her first dose. Here's hoping she can survive the many, many side effects that the cheat scare sheet lists. Please wish her well (but not in MY comments!).
