Feral Friday A Very Stabby Birthday

Hola kitties! This was hell week for The Cat. The only good thing was I learned when my real and true birthday was and it just passed. You can still send cards and gifts anyway. Over the years, the peeps have been given a number of random dates. The date was … heh heh … seriously it will be revealed at the end of the post. I'm stunning but I'm shrewd too.

Feral Friday A Very Stabby Birthday

I was drugged with my breakfast but did put up a fight getting into the PTU (prisoner transport unit). We got to ride in Aunt Theresa's new wheels.

Tech C. thought she was a match for me. She talked a good game and complimented on my stunning good looks. She laughed at the peeps when they mentioned the welding gloves. As if they could examine me otherwise.

Feral Friday A Very Stabby Birthday

When Dr. H. came into the room, she let me out of the PTU and dropped me on the floor to explore while she talked with the peeps. They were impressed that she got my medical records from the last place and knew Dr. D. I wasn't.

She examined my eyes, ears, teeth and then stuck in the evil anal probe. I didn't give her the satisfaction of hissing or screaming. She didn't mention anything about my teeth so apparently I got through another year without a dental. Biting the peeps is my dental. They discussed whether she should take me "in the back room" to torture me by stealing my bloods and trimming my claws or do it in the room with the peeps present. The peeps sold me up the river and let them take me away but not without my hissing and growling. I wonder if they could hear Dr. H. when she kept repeating "bwahaha! Now I've got you my lovely. You will do my bidding."

CK's dream

Once in the back room, I struggled. I attacked! I bit! I scratched! They broke both my paws and my legs and fitted me with cement shoes. Then they stuffed me back in the PTU and told my peeps to dump me in the ocean. That's when Pop passed out. He hurt himself bad too.

TW: CK, nothing like that happened. Your Pop did pass out and hurt himself but there was no cement shoes. You've been watching too much tv.

Back to the visit

The door closed behind them and no peep knows what went on behind closed doors. My screaming went unheard. Oh, the pain! Oh, the blood splattered all over the wall. Unfortunately it was mine. I wish it was theirs.

Then came the final insult when TW gave the ok for the Covenia shot so my paw wouldn't get infested infected.

On the way home, they actually left me in the hot car while Aunt Theresa and TW went shopping. OK, they just bought bagels but it took hours. I think they ate in the shop. Lucky for me, Pop insisted they keep the car a/c running since he stayed behind with me.

Once home, all I could do was sleep and I've been sleeping ever since.

The peeps were very pleased with everything (except the bill, ha ha). They're also not so thrilled that it's been a week and they're still waiting for the blood test results. Hoping the no news and good news.

No news wasn't really good news. The good news is I haven't lost weight. My blood work—even my thyroid—turned out to be unremarkable for my age. The bombshell is that I'm stage 2 CKD, which she softened the blow by saying it's the same as last year only Dr. D. didn't feel the need to mention it last year. She said that was to be expected at my age.

Friendly Fill-Ins

Now it's time for Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs—need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are boldface. This week my image relates to number three.

Feral Friday A Very Stabby Birthday

1. Every July, I hope this will be the year the peeps will wear shorts. They never do.

2. I could be Snow White's 8th dwarf named Stunning. No, not Bitey!

3. I could use some company right about now. I'm on the kitchen chair but my Pop isn't sitting next to me. He's at Urgent Care. TW is at the computer in the other room. I'm all alone. *sniffle*

4. I would like to start my own NFT-mining business. Dunno what that is but I hear it's gonna be lucrative. I thought long and hard about this one. If you don't believe this is a great business, click here. $200 million is a lot of cat food and could feed all the community cats in town.

Caturday Art

Colors make the cat. I chose this art for the vibrancy.

Feral Friday A Very Stabby Birthday

Caturday Art is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to showcase how talented us anipal artists are. We can use the many different digital apps, Photoshop or share original art.

My birthday is to be celebrated on June 27 of each year. I was born in 2005. The peeps figured I was about seven months old so it works out.

Would you like to comment?

  1. We believe in Wonderland and the celebration of UnBirthdays, so Happy UnBirthdayDay to you, specially as your peeps were negligent in not having a worldwide pawty on The Day! Funny coincidence, but my humom hasn't been seen wearing shorts since I joined the family. Perhaps the scratches on her arms are sufficient for public viewing and she doesn't also want to display the ones on her lower parts, I'd be arrested for elder abuse in a NY minute, sigh. But when that bare leg hangs out from under the covers at night, temptation reigns supreme (you know that need, don't you CK?) ... so, I gots my annual vet visit coming soon, send me your behavioral tips, I like what you do, I'll practice ahead of time. Oh, not to be forgotten, as vibrant as you are, terrific art today. Meowz from June. (Humom is showering, more scratch-able surface available, gotta run now...)

  2. We are purring for Pop, and hope to hear when he's back home again.
CK, we are sure you are the toughest cat on Planet Earth, but being smaller than humans, they overran you once again, but that's nothing to be ashamed of.
As always, I adore your art, and will puzzle your puzzle when on break from work...which is a four-letter word!
    Be well, all.

  6. Oh CK! Spitty would be so proud of you! He never trusted those stabby people at all. You are a beautiful and brave girl! Sorry to hear Pop did a flop--we will purr for him, and TW and you too! It's very good news that your kidneys have been stable for a whole YEAR! Your peeps are giving you the best care ever. Love to all of you XOXO
And props from Gigi--she's proud of you, too. Good boy Buddy is so well-behaved at the vet's office, he barely qualifies as a cat.

Your artwork is really cool! Sending healing thoughts to everyone in the townhouse. Have a good weekend!
