Feral Friday: Happy Gotcha Sweet 16

Hola kitties! Do you know what holiday tomorrow is?? It's Tuxedo Cat Appreciation Day, the holiday started by myself to celebrate all tuxies but especially MY Gotcha Day!! I've been living in this condo for 16 years! I've seen it all. Mostly I've seen the condo go from neat and tidy to the cluttered ruins it's in today. If they sell it at a loss, it's not this kitteh's fault. We wanted to do something special for the header so we used art by Barb Kowalik, added animation and even made a puzzle.

This was a hard post to write—or more appropriately, to think of an angle I hadn't shared on a previous post. I've shared my entire Gotcha Day story in five part harmony. I've shared the letters my peeps wrote to me. I've had an amazing pawty with noms, ennertainment and swag. I even wrote a song (This one is worth clicking on for the song and the video clips.) Sorry TW was too lazy to fix those other old posts to make them work after Blogger decided to crap out on runarounds. After 16 years, it's hard to find something new to say. I'm here to stay.

Plus, I'm having new adventures daily. This week I learned I like to drink my water out of Waterford crystal so I have taken over TW's glass. I also learned I like to drink her tea but she doesn't approve of that even though she looked it up and decaf tea is ok for cats in small quantities.

Thank you for being my furrends. Without you, I’d just be another disagreeable, under appreciated stunning house cat. You are my Everything.

Friendly Fill-ins

Now it's time for Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs—need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are boldface. This week my image relates to number two.

1. I get my disposition from da hood. And I get my kicks from Route 66. MOL!

2. It's a good thing my peeps aren't vegetarians. If they were, I'd have to bust outta this place. It's bad enough they only eat chicken and there are too many meatless nights. The pic above shows me eating my Gotcha Day roast of beef last year.

3. Domesticating required me to muster a lot of courage. I'm still not completely there and never will be.

4. My younger self would be proud to know that I now keep it real. I haven't let myself be beaten down by the humans who try to stop my feral ways.

Caturday Art

Another special day we're celebrating tomorrow is National Puzzle Day. I have the assignment to make an extra worthy puzzle or two this week.

I love the woven blankie on Pop's bed so I decided to see how I'd look on a woven blankie. I may never try it again since all that sewing made my paws bleed.

I look like I'm on a mission in this watercolor. I always walk with a purpose and I always look this intense.

Gotcha Day Fundraiser

If you can't decide what to buy me for my Gotcha Day, you can send some green papers to support my Fundraiser for Maria's Cats. I posted about Maria's Cats back in September. Maria was a cat hoarder who died leaving 28 cats to fend for themselves. Liz (who also drives TW to treatment) and Kim stepped in to help. Liz has been working tirelessly to get them vetted, socialized, fed, medicated and adopted. Unfortunately most of them have needed expensive dental work. They need money to vet and feed the 11 cats who are left. These are the most unsocialized one and sickest ones. They're not a 501c3 charity. They're just cat lovers doing what they can before the estate closes on the house and kicks everyone one. Don't worry, though, the money from this fundraiser will go to the cats' care and medical bills. Any left over (we wish!) will go to the two rescues who have been assisting Liz—11th Hour Rescue and The Lucky Cat Rescue.
