Feral Friday: A Feast of My Own

Hola kittehs! Welcome! Come in! Glad you could join me for this feast. Last year TW bought the Fancy Feast Advent Calendar for me. I really had a feast enjoying all the foods that were under the little doors. In fact, I found two recipes I'd never tried that I went wild for. I've enjoyed them as part of my rotating breakfast meal all year.

Feral Friday: A Feast of My Own

This year FF did a wonderful job on their advent calendar as far as design and there are all different flavors than last year, including a Yuletide Turkey feast with Sweet Potato and Tomato in gravy that's unique to the calendar.

Feral Friday: A Feast of My Own

There's another limited edition holiday recipe that we haven't yet opened—Hearthside Salmon Platter With Pumpkin and Spinach. I'm not getting paid or compensated in any way to write about this but it's a fun and tasty way to include your cat in the holiday festivities. My peeps have a Godiva Advent Calendar and now I have one that's better for me than chocolate is for them. I believe Amazon might still have some FF calendars left.

This was an alternate lead image. It's kinda a fail cos TW took it on an angle. It's also kinda an art piece cos of the filter and PS work.

Pet Photo Fail

Feral Friday: A Feast of My Own

Of course there was a photo fail. I'm including it here since the last Friday of the year is New Year's Eve and there might be other things to blog about. Not a very flattering pic of a stunning cat; in fact, part of my face is cut off.

FRIENDLY FILL-INS

Now it's time for Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs—need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are boldface. This week my image relates to fill-in number one.

Feral Friday: A Feast of My Own

1. My biggest pet peeve at Christmastime is my stuff getting all moved around for the tree and decorations. Last night TW was looking at the price of live trees so we might not have one. TW says her biggest peeve is so much to do and so little time.

2. A new tunnel is on my list to Santa. I have a feeling that TW is holding out on me with that cos she ordered one. I think it came but she won't give it to me until the 25th.

3. My Christmas to-do list still includes wrapping Secret Paws. TW's list overflow-eth. Her shopping is done but she has to wrap and send our their cards. I'm sending e-cards which are designed but they get to send snail mail cards. The injustice of it all.

4. A random piece of Christmas trivia that I know is Santa actually wants milk and cat treats left for him. Yeah, that's it! I know it sounds strange but that's what he likes. If you have a cat, please leave Santa a sh**load of cat treats and some lactose-free milk. He also likes Kentucky Fried Chicken so you can put a bucket out instead of the cat treats, I'm sure he wouldn't turn it down.

Caturday Art

Look! I caught a shmousy—almost! An oil painting by The Cat aka Stunning Keisha aka ME. The igloo really looks like it's made of ice—at least that's what Pop said. Inneresting fact: Aunt Pauline gifted me the igloo. Since she's passed, I've never used it. TW would love to know why.

Caturday Art is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to showcase the latest art by anipal artists using the many different digital apps, Photoshop or original art.

  3. That is an amazing Advent Calendar. I have 2 for our 2 hooligans that I got at a grocery store, but they have nothing on your beautiful one!

I am only sending e-cards as well...except for a very few to peeps in our family who do not have/use computers. So do not feel too bad. Most snail cards eventually end up in the trash or recycle at some point anyways.

Love your art! Thanks for hhe puzzle too.

  5. That is a cool calendar. There are so many kinds now for everyone. I got my nieces a playdough one and an elf on the shelf one. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I am sorry TW won't let you send paper cards, but it is the thought that counts. We still have your furs from one year- I could clone you. :) Don't worry, I can't afford to. I am impressed TW is done her shopping. And I love your art. Thank you for the puzzle. XO

  6. That's an amazing Advent calendar. Mudpie is the ONLY cat I've ever had who doesn't go wild for FF. That's fabulous that you found some winners to enjoy all year!

  8. June first: I am directing my humom to the great and wonderful Amazonplace ($) as soon as we are done here. FF is my go-to stuff and new flavors to try are making me drool.
(She is saying stop drooling on the keyboard ...)
Ann second: Lovin' the igloo art, no space heaters please coz it may melt. And sorry, but no KFC for the man in the red suit; both of us would start munching on it and surely there'd be not a crumb left when he
arrived. Of course, as June is well aware, his arrival is totally dependent on her stopping or at least pausing the "put the bitey on Mom at 4 am" every day to wake her. Well, maybe it needs to get pushed to NYE for a resolution, she'll never accomplish that is just a couple weeks. Happy Weekend friends ... holiday hugs, Ann and June

  10. I think Santa would love to find cat treats and lactose free milk when he brings my presents. I'm going to do that this Christmas. My cat Jake thinks that it's a good idea too. He sends his thanks to you, CK. Your artwork is awesome.

  11. I am sure you are right about what Santa would like left out for him. Your Advent calendar sounds wonderful, but personally I would prefer the Godiva one. Your art as always is lovely, and yes it does look like an ice igloo.

  12. The FF Advent Calendar sounds awesome, CK! We got the Trader Joe's one, and Ava likes those treats a lot.

  13. Your Advent Calendar sounds delishious, Mom did try to get us one, but alas they ware not available up here. Don't feel sorry for us, Mom does make sure we get treats every night at bed time. We LOVE your fill-ins especially getting a new tunnel. Mom did not get us one, but then we have not played with ours for a long, long time! And we are looking forward to Santa's visit! I hope he does not mind that we can't find KFC here! Your ART is spectacular, it really does look like an igloo and its extra special coming from Aunt Pauline. We hope you and your Peeps have a gloriously Happy Week!

  16. We love your artwork.
And the fillins - especially number 4 (mol). It's such a pity more humans aren't aware of that fact...

  17. Well since Grandpa left an entire Turkey out for his cats Thanksgiving (Mom says the humans did eat some off of it before he put it outside for the kitties) we only think it's fair that Santa get a bucket of Chicken, at our house. I am sure he wouldn't mind if Scylla & Yang nibbled on it a little.

Our Deebot (it's like a Roomba) ate a mouse. Poor Mom was totally disgusted when she went to empty it and found the dead mouse and now she says the Deebot smells like dead mouse. We are blaming it being in the house on Yang.

Your art work is terrific and it does look like an igloo, we think you miss Aunt Pauline and that is why you won't use it.

  18. Christmas trees are expensive! We got a fake wreath instead and hope it will last about 10 years. Our little fake tree has seen better days, and the kitties are all chewing on it.

  19. CK, I bet you could find that tunnel in the condo if she's hiding it until Christmas.
