In this flashback, I received a box priority mail. I know the title of this post says FedEx but you know how much I like alliteration. This was from the days when I never received mail kinda like today so I was excited and surprised.
Since we didn't do Pet Photo Fails last week, here's a blooper from this set. As my secret message says, I moved my head. I'm alive. I think I'm gonna see if I can improve on this by making some art. What was in the box? The 2014 CB page-a-day calendar, the first one I was in.
Friendly fill-ins.
How about some Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which
is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing
and
Four Legged Furballs—need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They
think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are boldface.
This week my image relates to fill-in number three.
1. So far this year, I have accomplished sending Pop to Urgent Care. I was all agitated from getting brushies and thought it would be fun to show some love by dangling from his arm. I've also been keeping TW's spirits up. Playing with me and this blog keeps her busy so she doesn't become an
2. My plans for October include writing my Christmas list and making sure TW designs my holiday cards. This cat likes to think ahead even if TW doesn't.
3. Helping Pop decorate may be difficult, but it's worth it. Snoopervising and helping are two things I excel at. I love the color Pop's face turns while I'm sitting there on the boxes of decorations minding my own business.
4. I don't think
Caturday Art
I tried and tried to make this fail into good art. You should see how many
canvases I ruined. The peeps picked this the best out of the lot. I'm not thrilled with it.
Caturday Art is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to showcase the latest art by anipal artists using the many different digital apps, Photoshop or original art.
I am sorry TW had to have another scan. I hope this one shows a better result. I had another CT scan 2 weeks ago and it was good in that it showed no further spread. I have to have another MRI brain scan at the end of the month. Those scans really panic me with the noise and being trapped in that tube!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear about poor Felix. Your art is always lovely.
Praying that the second scan shows better results as well, it sucks that you had to have another scan. Sorry about sweet Felix (that was Roary's name before we adopted him), and as always your art is beautiful no matter what you say! Sending much love!
ReplyDeleteWe are really sorry to hear about Felix. We think the art looks fabulous…love the colors! Cooper Murphy sent Mom to urgent care and her search for Sawyer also sent her there this year. She has promised Dad she will not visit again this year. Sending lots of warm hugs and prayers to TW. Keep up the good work with her, CK. ReplyDeleteWe like your artwork. We hope TW's scan is better!!! You are a real pro at the bitey!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so sad about poor Felix. When I reached 15 cats I started going to a shrink because I didn't want to be a hoarder that could not give cats proper care. I am sorry TW had to have another scan.Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers except maybe the urgent care part- your poor Pop. It is sweet of you to help him with things though. I love your art. Thank you for the puzzle. XO
ReplyDeleteWe hope the scan results are okay! Good answers CK except for the Urgent Care part. That is indeed very sad to hear about Felix. I like the way the art turned out, lots of color and interesting textures. And a stunning subject, of course!
ReplyDeletePurrs and hugs to TW from all of us. Those were darn good answers, we'll, except the injured Pop one and fabulous art too CK!
ReplyDeleteLet's all having a scanning party together and then turn the pictures into our scaturyday art! Only those with concierge health care need take part. All in jest of course ... sigh. Another lollipop in daily life.
ReplyDeletePurrs for all being OK. And we suspect any wounds were healed before the patient was seen by anyone in urgent care ... sigh. Sarcasm is ruling my world ... sorry.
Cat Scans! They should only be given to cats. Mom has had enough cat scans to paper our bathroom with them. They aren't very pretty either.
ReplyDeleteYour fill ins are a little blood thirsty thanks to pop but otherwise right on.
Your art work is warm and makes you look,,,,,odd? mol
Have a good weekend, CK and TW.
Shoko
I hope all goes well with TW's next scan. Ouch about your pop and urgent care! And that is very sad about Felix.
ReplyDeleteWe send purrayers and purrs that TW has a better result on her second scan. We are also sorry that Felix had to go OTRB but hope he had lots of old pals meet him there.
ReplyDeleteYour blooper became pawsome art! Felix's story is beyond heartbreaking. And we hope a cat is the ONLY thing the scan found in TW! Sending you guys much love and positive thoughts...
ReplyDeleteThere must be something really good in that box, CK. I’m sorry to hear about Felix. Sending many purrs. And I’m purring for TW…and hope whatever the dr saw isn’t serious. And btw, cats can get cat scans! ~Ernie
ReplyDeleteI'm sending lots of purrs to TW - all these scans and uncertainly are awful and draining. I did like your art today lots!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing we like about CAT-scans is in the name. Your artwork is Stunning as ever. Will send Healing Pawkisses and Purrayers for TW. Hope it is nothing serious🙏Pawkisses for a relaxed weekend🐾😽💞
ReplyDeleteCK we love your blog and are so grateful TW helps you with typing and such tasks. Our mom sez she wishes she had your talent for making such a funny blog. We hope nothing comes of the scan but will keep TW in our prayers. Sad news about Felix. Hugs n Purrs
ReplyDeleteXo, Peekaboo and Onyx
That artwork sure turned out nicely, CK. Well, that could be expected, since it's of you! :)
ReplyDeleteWe are so sorry about Felix. We know he is whole and healthy and at peace now, but it is very sad.
Here's hoping and praying that TW's scan gives a better result than that first one. Please tell her we love her, and are sending all good thoughts and lots of purrs.
That is furry sad news about Felix. We hope TW's news from her CAT scan will be Good news.
ReplyDeleteYour art is superb, We can't understand why you don't think so!
Lovely art!
ReplyDeleteWe hope all goes well with TW x
We are sending lots of purrs that TW's Cat scan is as good as it can be and things are as good as they can be. We like that flash back and the neat thing is about Art is you can take those fails and make them wins. That is something we cats are good at.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about Felix. He looks like a good hearted fellow. That is what my blood work did too went way high with what I call my ca-ca. I will look him up here at the Bridge but I have a feeling he has had a warm welcome from several big groups who do just that when our friends arrive
Farewell, Angel Felix.
ReplyDeleteCK, tell TW that my workload took a surprising turn on the dial to number 11, but I'll find some time to look through my photo library very soon.
As always, even if you don't like it, CK, I think this art is lovely, and I'm off to puzzle right now!
We were sad to read about Felizx and we are sending much love, purrs and head bonks to TW (We wish we lived closer). Scans are NO|T fun. Our peep has had more than enough. We LOVE your art this week. and we have not been posting, so you guys have NOT missed anything! We have entered you in the Caturday draw. We got our fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteWe are so sad to learn about Felix. The hyperthyroidism medicine caused Socks' WBC to drop dangerously low. Once he got off the medicine and we controlled the hyperthyroidism with diet instead, he was fine for a number of years. A lot of vets don't know the medicine has this side effect. We were lucky Dr (now) D was reading about it and share the info with Mom and Mom shared with Socks' vets. Dr D was a vet student back then.
ReplyDeleteYes Cats & Dogs get CAT scans, Mom says it's an acronym for something or another but it's weird to us. Why don't people get PEOPLE SCANS?
Your art is great, Mom says it has a van Gogh vibe.
If they just called them Computerized Axial Tomography then no cats would ever be offended, LOL!
ReplyDeleteSorry you needed another scan so soon after that troubling one, and I hope the trouble is nothing to worry about. When I was undergoing treatments for ovarian cancer way back in 2006/7, I had more than a few of those scans. The doc said I was going to be able to glow in the dark. Just right for Halloween!
Sorry to hear about Felix, that so sad.
That art turned out very lovely, is so vibrant and colorful! Thanks for the puzzle.
Would a cat get a human scan? We have no idea. We like your artwork--and we will also pretend that the box is from FedEx.
