One of the neighbors on the Next Door app axed about a certain very expensive toy for her cat to enjoy herself independently (and quietly) during the night. This neighbor had gone to the store for TW at the beginning of the pandemic. Anywho, someone mentioned an automatic laser toy instead of the expensive item. TW remembered she had one I wouldn't play with. She packaged it up and the neighbor picked it up. TW paid back her neighbor's kindness. End of story or so we thought.
At the same time, my good Twitter pal Pumpkinpuddy read my blog how I had no toys and my FB post that Chewy didn't have a certain toy I wanted. They said it was discontinued.
Package for CK! Pumpkin had her mom order the toy for me from a different seller. We gave a toy—actually two cos TW threw in a treat ball—and Pumpkin sent me two new toys. Thank you Pumpkin! I hope you get something in return from somebuddy.
How about some Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which is
already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing
and
Four Legged Furballs—need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They
think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are boldface. This
week my image relates to fill-in number three.
1. My go-to place to purchase cat-themed items is The Animal Rescue Site. They are a little expensive but my purchases go toward feeding shelter animals and by animals I hope they mean CATS.
2. Hearing of a cat getting a forever home immediately improves my mood.
3. I think the house across the street is really spooky. Some days we'll see a lot of action around the house but the lights are never on at night. Other times when we're convinced no one is living there, all the lights are on. They might be fixing the inside up and showing it. I don't know who'd want to live in a huge house like that which looks so spooky even if the view is fantastical. When it was a rooming house, a roomer blew himself up in his car outside the house. I think his ghost might still be in there.
4. I wish I had a magical potion for TW. I also wish the doctor had a magic potion for TW. After chemo, radiation and a host of other things, the secondary tumor keeps returning.
Caturday Art
I usually only use my own art as my art entry. All rules are meant to be
broken and this week we waved bye-bye to it. Here's another pay it forward
story from last week. No puzzle today but we'll try to have some up by the weekend.
Our blogging friends at the Eastside Cats axed if I could paint the dearly
beloved and departed Paddy O'Malley. You may have seen one or more of the
paintings I did on their blog. We loved the PO'M too. That same night while
I was painting the PO'M, I got an email from Marvelous Marv saying he'd like
to paint ME! One good turn, er, painting deserves another! Thank you to
Eastside Cats for letting me paint the PO'M. Thank you to Marv and Barb for
this amazing piece of art. We love how all the art turned out!
I sure wish that #4 would come true, I am praying for your well being.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful picture/painting of you CK! I loved the ones you made of the PO'm, too.
Oh no, thank YOU for the amazing images of The PO'M!
ReplyDeleteI must have one made into a large canvas...that is, after my bank account recovers from the double vet visit for Da Boyz.
Thank you!
Hi CK! I'm so honored you mentioned little ole me in your blog. We get stuff and give stuff all the time on the Buy Nothing FB group for our neighborhood. We had a chair break, and that day someone was giving away a chair that would be a perfect replacement, so mom asked if she could have it. We also got a bread machine someone was giving away. So we give and we get and it all works out for everyone.
ReplyDeleteThose were nice gifts you got CK and so nice o Pumpkinpuddy. Those were good answers and we're always purring and praying for TW. Love you art and we really liked your Paddy Art too.
ReplyDeleteTell TW that I am sending more healing purrs her way.

ReplyDeleteI wish there was a magic potion for TW too. Sending her hugs.
ReplyDeleteWe wish for that magic potion too!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have a magic potion either CK, but we can keep on sending purrayers and POTP for TW and you and Pop too.
ReplyDeleteLove your art, and especially your pawsome pay it forward story! I tried to order a cat Christmas ornament on The Animal Rescue Site a couple weeks ago but it was already sold out. I added my name to their wait list but nothing yet :( I wish the doctors had a special potion for TW too, as do many in our cat blogging family.
ReplyDeleteThat was sweet of TW to pay it forward. I am glad you scored some toys too. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. That house does sound spooky, I would love to see a photo of it. I love The Animal Rescue Site too. And I wish you had a potion to cure TW too.
ReplyDeleteBarb did a nice job with your art, very pretty. XO
We LOVE paying it forward! I, Marv dont do it a lot, but Mom does - And we LOVED painting you! We have been learning so furry much! We hope you, TW and Pops are all doing marvellous and that your weekend ROCKS! We are expecting Rain, so there will be loads of Mom cuddle time (YEAH!!!!)
ReplyDeletePS We forgot to say how much we LOVED your paintings of POM! We love your art!
DeleteI'm always glad to hear about people paying it forward. The Paddy O'Malley artwork is really awesome! The artwork from Marv and Barb is awesome! I too wish that there was a magic potion for TW. Sending healing thoughts, wishing I could do more.
ReplyDeleteThat was kind from Pumpkin, those are nice gifts ! We keep purring for TW. Purrs
ReplyDeleteGood gestures are usually repaid, we find, sometimes years later and when it matters most. Though not always. Those folks are just mean and Mrs H says to have nothing to do with them.
ReplyDeleteLovely subtle coloured artwork, a real joy to see.

We love how you paid it forward for your neighbor, CK. And how Pumkinpuddy paid it forward to you!
ReplyDeleteWe love your answers, especially #4. That's what we wish and pray for, too.
Love to you, TW and Pop.
That art is amazing!
ReplyDeleteNice answers. We wish for #4 too.
Purrs xx
Athena and Marie
I wish for #4 too. I am sorry that tumour keeps returning. Mine never go, but at least the pills are stopping them from growing more or spreading.
ReplyDeleteThat was a really nice Pay it Forward. The art of you is beautiful, and so is the art you did of P O'M
We join you wholeheartedly about #4.
ReplyDeleteAnd Pay-It-Forward is a lovely idea.
And your art is beautiful, as always.
We also wish #4 were true. Your mom is such a trooper. After reading about your quest for that toy, we found some online and ordered a few. Maybe they'll become one of our favorites too.
