Flashback Feral Friday: Boxed Up

Hola kitties! Tomorrow is both International Box Day and Garfield the Cat Day. We cats love boxes. We love playing in them and sleeping in them. If it fits, we sits. Our humans love lasagna-loving Garfield. This week's flashback features a box and maybe some Garfield. Surprise, Surprise.

The lead flashback is from November 2009. It's the first box-sitting foto shoot we did. 

Truth be told, I've always preferred bags to boxes. They're softer.

Unfortunately all the pics turned out to be foto fails. Too bad Box Day wasn't next week when we post foto fails.

This one from May 2010 turned out much better with the exception that I wouldn't look at the camera. This box may look small to you but if I fits, I sits.

I wanted to show you my Garfield placemat. TW has at least one Garfield cat dish but it's very small and will give me whisker fatigue. Note the empty, antique food dish. Feed me, indeed.

Friendly Fill-Ins

Now it's time to join the Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs—need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are BOLD. This week my image relates to fill-in number one. Make sure you supervise your cat with any string toy.

1. If I could trade places with someone for a day, I would trade with my younger self. I was carefree and the weather didn't bother me. I didn't have asthma and I used to run around and play and play bite all day long.

2. I would like to own a condo with a catio some day. It would have a terrace which would turn into a catio. Maybe we can get a one-bedroom someday. Make it happen, Pop.

3. I can't stand the way I feel this time of the year. Even though we have air conditioning, the weather seems to get to me. I don't eat much and just lay in bed all day.

4. I'd like to say my peeps wearing shorts in the condo is my favorite thing about this time of the year. Alas, I can't cos for some reason they stopped wearing shorts when I moved it. Dunno why but it was dirty play on their part.

Caturday Art

The art is from one of the soft focus pics from November 2009. The best art comes from lousy pics and TW gives me plenty to choose from. The box looks more like a fence especially in the second piece although the watermark kinda hides it.

There's nothing I like more than painting art of myself. I have a lot to offer. I painted the above in oils …

… and then for something completely different, I really "arted" this one up with a filigree. TW's fave ring is all ornamental and filigreed so why shouldn't her fave cat?

I also should note two other important holidays this weekend. Tomorrow is Juneteenth, an important day for little ghetto kittehs who were born in the 'hood. Sunday I get to give Pop his Father's Day bite. Happy Father's Day Pop!
