In the last post, you saw a preview of our new windows, this flashback features our old windows.
I was surveying the landscape early one morning when I was innarupted.. TW was going through a phase where she was into reflections. This is a really stunning reflection on me and of me. Two stunning cats for the price of one. Both pics are from May 3, 2017.
Now it's time to join the Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins which I fill in and underline and italicize. Any further comments on my part are in italics. Normally each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. Today it applies to number three.
1. I would love to be a fly on the wall in The White House. I'll bet they have plenty of flies and espcially bugs. Anyone care to join me?
2. I am missing out on not having red meat in my diet. I'm talking about human red meat. The peeps don't ever eat it so I don't get it neither. Oh yeah, I do get some corned of beef on March 17 and I love it. They don't eat bacon either. I am deprived.
3. I could use more play time in my life. Whenever I want to play, TW says it's too late or too early or too something so when she wants to play with me, I blow her off. I did find out the red dot lives in her bathroom and will occasionally come out to play.
4. I could do without hearing the word NO or any of TW's other excuses. Why can't I rattle the blinds at 4:30 a.m.? Why can't I bite their ankles and other parts? Why can't I have certain human foods that smell good? I want answers.
I was going to hold this art and instead post something more colorful since the Spring finally sprung around here. This piece is cool and different and I'm proud of it. There's plenty of time for color.
I didn't think this art lent itself to a jigsaw puzzle but after reading about his Convergence being turned into a puzzle, I changed my mind although mine is less pieces. |
I have created a piece I named Controlled Chaos Cat based on the work of Jackson Pollock, one of our favorite artists. First I painted a really stunning version of a foto fail. Then I flung and dripped paint all over it just like Pollock did. Why? Pollock's paintings sold for as much as a cool $140 million. Perhaps this ghetto kitteh can become a millionaire. This piece was inspired by his Blue Poles.
Years ago, TW used to roll around in some human nip—isn't that what humans do with it?—and spend time in the Pollock room at MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) just staring at his work. I guess she was waiting for the paint to move and I bet sometimes it did. Her favorite was Convergence, which was made into a 340-piece jigsaw puzzle known at the time as "the world's most difficult puzzle." As she types this for me, she's wondering what happened to the big posters she bought at MoMA. She even visited his studio in NY with her artist friend who was also a Pollock fan.

Your art is very creative, but I think it will be a very hard puzzle. I will attempt it tonight.
ReplyDeleteI like the two for the price of one photo.
I love the reflection shot. Tell TW nice photo (without biting her).
ReplyDeleteWe like the reflection photo. Cool artwork! We'll do the puzzle later!

Our mom doesn't eat bacon, either. Doesn't seem fair.
ReplyDeleteWe do like that reflection photo too CK, double stunning indeed! We enjoyed your answers too and of course your stunning art!
ReplyDeleteThe word NO does not exist for us kitties! Mommy never seems to want to play when I do either, but when I'm ready she's busy. Humans. --Mudpie
ReplyDeleteI like that reflection photo. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. It would be interesting to be a fly on the wall in The White House. I am sorry you are so deprived of good meats. I love your art. I like Pollock, several years ago I read you could go to his place on Long Island and make your own painting, that sounds like fun. Thank you for the puzzle. XO
ReplyDeleteCK, I don't get any red meat or bacon either! My human actually loathes bacon! If I'm lucky I might get some from a breakfast buffet when we travel... but who knows when we'll get to travel again?
ReplyDeleteWe never get human food, CK and honestly we’re okay with that.
ReplyDeleteWow Controlled Chaos Cat is absolutely amazing it should certainly grace the walls of MoMA, but our favorite was the reflection photograph.
ReplyDeleteWe feel you on the red meat deal although Mom reports that it's hard to find in the stores right now.
Cool art!
ReplyDeleteMy mum is vegan but she lets me eat chicken because she knows cats have to eat meat! I don't like any other meat. Chicken is my fave :)
The housekeeper is big on reflections, too and we like yours. They're not that easy to pick up on, I've been told. Light has to be just right, blah, blah..The real favorite photo for me, tho, is the second one with the fill-ins. I think it's the cutest of you! - Tom x
ReplyDeleteCool artwork. I really like your double Keisha photo. Dare I say that it's stunning. ☺
ReplyDeleteYour artwork is fantastic, CK, it took a while to find you, but I found you after all. Will do the puzzle one of these days, I have to be prepared for a long sit...MOL...Great answers on the fill-inns. There's no NO in my vacabulare either....MOL😸Pawkisses for a Happy Sunday. Stay Safe Healthy and Yourselfie🙏🐾😽💞
ReplyDeleteWe love that reflection shot, CK. That other cat is almost as stunning as you! :)
ReplyDeleteWe get an occasional piece of tuna from our mom and dad, but that's it.
ck, we played de puzzle N got it finished in 1:54 !! thiz art peace rocked :) ♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of you in the window, CK. Thanks to your reflection in the photo, we get a double dose of your stunningness! And thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! It sounds like you and Eddy have a similar play style. I try to get her to play in the daytime, but she often tells me no (kitties are allowed to tell humans no, but the other way around is not allowed under any circumstances, or so I've been told). Eddy much prefers to play and bounce off of walls at roughly 3 am. I have to oblige, because I don't make the rules here. Purrs!
