Hola kitties! Another week has ended and another weekend begins. Today is National Coloring Day. My art today isn't a coloring page since I did one last month. I hope to have a new one on my Facebook page sometime today whenever TW lends me her time and opposable thumbs.

For the Flashback Friday Foto Frenzy part of our show, Meowmeowmans from Animal Shelter Volunteer Life chose foto #3553 snapped in September 2013 which is actually in focus. How did that happen?

Water, water everywhere. At least it gives me something to stand on while looking for tunes for Music Monday. As I've mentioned before, water in our town has been found to contain lead so just to be on the safe side, TW drinks bottled water. The Cat, on the other paw, has to drink tap water. Apparently humans are supposed to drink an ocean of H2O each day which I guess explains the boatload in the condo. I get most of my water in wet food.

It's apt that I'm standing on the pile in front of the records and the water is named Nirvana, just like one of our favorite bands. Most of these records have been digitized and are on our iTunes. That leads to the question: why are they still taking up real estate in my condo if no one listens to them?

Now it's time to join the Friendly Fill-Ins, a feature held weekly at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. This week Lorianne thought up all four fill-ins. We send our best to Ellen and Noel. My answers are underlined and in italics with further comments in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. Today it relates to number one and four. I thought it appropriate that I used the edge filter since I live my life on the edge.

1. Biting the peeps never fails to improve my bad mood. Sometimes I have to bite them more than onceThursday I was in a really bad mood and I did a lot of biting. It brightened my mood momentarily but then my bad mood returned so I had to look for someone else to bite.

2. I feel out of place on social media. It used to be the place I felt most comfortable but that comfort level is gone. Most of my old furrends are gone and my new "furrends" aren't really furrends. The "good old days" of innocence and caring are over and can never be replicated.

3. I would like to find a treasure chest filled with cat food and treats. Wouldn't every cat? I have a treasure chest filled with toys but I don't like any of them.

4. If you ask me, biting the peeps keeps the doctor away. It's certainly done a good job keeping the dentist away so I see no reason to stop.

This is my latest creation. I stayed up all night putting the finishing touches on it. I haven't painted many closeups since I'm not sure I'm a good enough artist to capture my stunningness.

This will be my Feral Friday entry in the Caturday Art blog hop which is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to showcase the latest art by anipal artists using digital apps, Photoshop or original art. No talent? No problemo. There are hundreds of one-click apps for desktop or mobile devices that will turn your photos into works of art.

  1. Boodie and I not only drink bottled water, just like my human, but my human also puts in an additive especially for us!

  2. We're actually pretty lucky with our water. And it wasn't until The Boy moved in and told us about the water where he lived that I really appreciated how well ours is taken care of. Not that I drink it. I mean ... soda all the way! We agree with you CK ... biting makes any kind of bad mood better!

  3. Our water is supposed to be good, but sometimes it smells of chlorine so I always filter it first.
I think I must have been missing out all these years as I have never had a cat that bites. Nibble yes, but never a proper bite.
I love your close up self portrait.

  4. Your art and photos are always the best CK! We have a water filter system in our house so our water is always wonderful. You are so right about social media, we post there but are rarely actually there these days.

  5. MOL you made me MOL with the bites, CK...one bite a day keeps the doctor away, I have to remember that...MOL :D Beautiful artwork again. Granny says I'm kind of weirdo...in the house I only drink mineral water, outside I drink normal tapwater and rain water, but don't serve that in the house, I won't drink it..that's normal, right ;) 😸Pawkisses for a Happy Caturday🐾😽💞

  7. Love the art! We both drink tap water here. And your peeps record collection is very impressive!

  8. I can't believe TW makes you drink tap water. My mom is the worst cat owner, but even she gives her cat bottled water. We are lucky to have well water that is excellent. I love your fill-ins and I had a feeling biting would be in your answers. I am sorry you feel out of place in social media. I have always looked up to you and how much you do with Twitter. I love your art. I wish there was a puzzle. XO

  9. We drink tap water too, though we do get filtered water from the fridge too.

  10. What is my Cat doing at your house? Or maybe my fur baby is your mother, crazy!

  11. Gosh, don't know how I missed this post, CK! Stunning artwork, but it's easy with your beauty, no?
Happy Blogoversary; I enjoy your particular brand of humor!

  12. CK, your flashback photo made me laugh a bit, but certainly not at you. My parents used to display their records like your peeps do, but just the other day one of their cats started using the records' spines as a scratching post, so things had to be rearranged a tad. Would you ever consider using records as a scratcher, CK? And I wondered if your fill-in #1 would have anything to do with your teeth or claws. We're so glad you have the peeps' flesh around to keep your teeth strong and healthy, CK. Purrs to you!
