Phil 'N the Blanks

Phil 'N the Blanks was the name of a pop band in the 80s. I think they're still around playing weddings. They weren't a favorite but their name was. I thought it would be a clever title for the Friendly Fill-in post.

Let's catch you up on what's been happening first. There's been a lot of strangers coming and going here lately. Too many. The Fios guy and Uncle Vince were here last week. After Uncle Vince left, I'd had enough and started coughing. TW thought my asthma was attacking me but after a minute or two, I frew up some food that I'd just eaten. I was just upset.

Phil 'N the Blanks

Yesterday the community's handyman came to fix a broken light switch but I kinda like him so I stayed around to watch. I had to snoopervise and make sure he wasn't making off with the silverware. In fact, I let him pet me once upon a time without hissing. Tomorrow the super will be here—or at least the peeps hope he will—to look at the water infiltration stains around the window. They think there might be mold in the wall which is why they've been experiencing respiratory issues. But enough about them, let's get to my fill-in answers.

The Friendly Fill-Ins are hosted each and every week by 15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are underlined and in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. This week it relates to number one but it could also relate to number four since my sharp claws are front and center.

1. Interactive playing brings out the best in me. Unfortunately I don't get much of that at all lately. TW turned old cos she claims she hasn't been feeling well. Suck it up, Woman!

2. An empty food bowl makes me grumpier than Grumpy Cat. Then I get even grumpier when TW doesn't fill it up for hours.

3. If money grew on trees, I would plant a forest. Why have one money tree when you could have hundreds!

4. I have a fear of NOTHING. My teeth and claws are sharp and I have no fear.

So do my answers get a passing grade? How did you phil 'n the blanks?

Would you like to comment?

  3. I have never heard of that band, it is a clever name. I am so happy you decided to participate in the fill-ins, great answers. With those teeth and claws, I can understand why you fear nothing. Good idea to keep an eye on the super :) I hope TW feels better soon and that no one else upsets your tummy. XO

  4. Planting a forest is definitely an original answer to that question.

  5. Clever money tree answer, CK! Side note: We have a money tree but it only has leaves, no money, so I wonder why it's called that. But I guess I shouldn't be worrying my furry grey butt about money since we have free board and lodge here. xx from Mr. Jack and the Chirpies

  7. Oh the empty food bowl, the horror, the deprivation, the fear! And the humans fail to understand that if there is ANY part of the bottom of the bowl showing, it is EMPTY! Oh how we felines are forced to suffer!

  8. Lots of stuff going on at the condo! Interactive playing is MP's favorite too but this summer it has taken a back burner thanks to the heat.

  10. We sure hope the super shows up tomorrow. That would be very bad if you have mold in the walls. What would you do with all the money from your forest, C.K.? Praying everyone feels better soon. 12. We don't imagine you're scared of much, CK. Well, except the threat of going back to the slammer and maybe water ;)

  13. I think that it is cool that you are fearless. That is how Heavenly Father intends for us to be. :)

    Have a blessed weekend.

  15. Wait, you let a stranger pet you without hissing at him, CK? We're not sure what to think of that. But, anyway, your fill-ins are, of course, purrfect! Aren't empty food bowls just the worst? Sometimes, the human here doesn't get up at 3 am to fill empty food bowls when the felines command her to, and that's just unacceptable. Moving on, though, we'll be visiting your money forest on the regular. Thank you for participating in the Friendly Fill-Ins, CK!

  18. Good idea with that forest, CK. And I hope there’s no mold. If there is, hope they take care of it quickly.
