Wednesday Word—Nightmare

Do any of you guys have nightmares? I had a bad one the other night. Lemme tell you a bit about what precipitated it.

I was in my blue mauve thing when I awoke with a start!! WTF?

I've read lots of kittehs writing about the evil VC but have yet to run across any cat talking about my personal peeve: The Hair Vacuum! That contraption scares the bejesus outta me. Seriously. OK, nothing actually "scares" me but that annoys the bejesus outta me.

Not only is the hair vacuum every bit as noisy as the VC, it's also very very hot. TW yells at me if I come too close cos she claims it could burn me. I say anything that could burn the kitteh shouldn't be allowed in the condo. She doesn't use it often but she used it yesterday and got my fur all ruffled up and caused the following nightmare. Please don't let any kittens read this or they'll have nightmares too.

I was being chased by the tandem of an evil VC AND a dastardly hair vacuum (HV)! They had me surrounded! What could I do? I hissed! I spit! Still they kept coming. The HV was getting hotter! The VC was getting, er, suckier! Both were getting louder and louder! That's when I woke up … sweating.

Do your peeps use the Hair Vacuum? Do you think they should be banned?

Would you like to comment?

  1. Oh you poor thing. What a choice; burned up or sucked up.

  2. We don't mind the hair vacuum. Well, actually Princeton is scared of it, but Precious and I could care less about it. Our Mommy uses it every single day.

We don't want to ban it, because we're afraid of how Mommy might look without it! MOL!

  3. My human uses one of those every time she gets her hair wet. I don't like it, but it's not really that scary either. She has blown it in my direction and I just give her a dirty look and leave.

  4. Being a pet groomer (from home) means she uses that HUGE fur vacuum to dry the kitties who come for grooming. All of us THANK COD, it's them and not us. Whew.

  5. I keep away from the VC, but I am not frightened of it oh no!! Just best to to be safe than sorry. The Staff doesn't use a HV. That would be weird!! At her age she says she's got more hair where she shouldn't and less hair where she should .. whatever that means!!??

  6. VC is the hell. VC is evil. VC should be banned. Really.

  7. Oh poor CK! What a scary dream. Fortunately nobody use HV in our home, so only VC is something we need to watch out! I think HV should be banned to ensure peaceful sleep for kitties :-)

  10. OMC! We totally agree that both should be banned. Mama has heard of a Furminator that hooks up to a vacuum attachment. That's just sick.

  11. What a scary nightmare, CK! WE sure are glad you woke up before anything bad happened!

Moosey is kind of used to the hair vacuum now. He will even sit in the bathroom while it is going!

  12. I just got home from MY nightmare.
Hint: Begins with a V and ends with a T.

  13. Mommy rarely uses her HV. And she has a little VC for small jobs and she rarely uses that loud thing, either. We don't have carpet, so no big suckie VC here!
    brandi liked the HC. Huh!

  14. We take shifts keeping an eye on her...

  15. OMC - not both at the same time? your peeps need to be reported for kitty abuse! One at a time is all that is allowed by anipal rules!

  16. The head peep uses the HV. Even though Ashton is afraid of everything, she will walk into the room when the HV is on. Probably because it's one of the last things that is a signal that it's about to be breakfast time...

  17. Oh dear Mom uses one of those crazy things too...well actually she uses both and we hate them just as equally.

  18. None of my three cats are really scared of the hair vacuum. But technically, the VC could be called a hair vacuum as well, because 90% of its job here is just that -- vacuuming cat hair. MOL.

  19. We don't mind that little hair dryer, maybe because it doesn't chase us around the house! Sorry you had an awful nightmare CK.

  20. CK, the cat before us actually LOVED the hair vacuum and would let the mom warm his furs with it. Us? We stay clear of that noisy thing.

  21. Holy COD, we'd be scared too. Well, except for Maxie - who couldn't hear it anyway so he doesn't count!

  22. My Human uses the HV very rarely--she usually air dries. And she uses the VC rarely too because she is so freaking LAYZEE! Actually, that's fine with me because I hate them both.

The Armoire. Midnight. I'll bring the lever. Shhhhhhh.

  23. We're so thankful that we don't have a hair vacuum in the house.

  27. Hair vaccums (or any for that matter) need to be banned from this country forever!

  28. Do you want to hear the horror I have CK...Momz doesn't use the HV on herself, but she tries to use it on me! How dare she!?! When the VC comes out I retreat to my under the table hideout where no one can reach me...

    ReplyDelete
  29. No, fear not, sweet darling.

Not that there's anything wrong with it!

  30. Sounds like a nightmare my human baby would have lol. She is terrified if she just sees the vacuum. Unless I leave it out for a long time, then she gets used to it. She also doesn't like it when I use that hair vacuum thingy.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Yikes CK! That is one bad nightmare for sure! My Human doesn't often use the HV but that VC is the one that scares me...oh yes it does, hope you still respect me as a Mancat...

  32. I have learned to come, sit and watch her wrestle that eveil thing!!!

  33. WooHoo that sounds scary. Can I confess, at this point, that I like being vacuumed - in a very low setting, Mum tickles me with it
