Expectation hangover: what a great phrase!
We kitties take things as they come (except Allie when she expects another helping and it doesn't arrive).

But for the mom - yeah, this new phrase perfectly explains the rollercoaster ride this new disease is sending her on.

She's still trying to get used to the "new norm" - so when she has a good day, she "expects" things are back to the way they were, and in a few days when things are bad again .... yup, expectation hangover fits PERFECTLY. The posts I'm ...I understand what you mean, CK. The posts I'm most excited to share usually don't do well ... but the ones I feel like I slapped together haphazardly? Yep. They are the most popular. It makes me paranoid because then I wonder if it's just a coincidence that more people are stopping by on the days I'm not proud of - and they're not coming back because of the crappy posts. That used to happen to me in school too. The projects I worked hard on and did everything right would yield me Bs or Cs ... and the projects that I BS'ed and didn't really prepare for always came back with a better grade. That's why we blog just because we want to, and hope that a few people find it interesting enough to pop over and leave us a comment.

I think your photo with the pillow looks ok, and I'm sure you could make it almost perfect with all your photoshop skills. I don't see "vampire" at all when I look at you. The fabric in your pillow looks a bit satiny, and that might be really hard to photograph. Bright, indirect light might help.

Mom has purchased several beds for me that I won't touch. Luckily none have been terribly expensive. When she got it in 2001, she had high expectations for it, but she had buyer's remorse practically from the moment she moved in, and it was a constant disappointment. She was so happy to sell it in 2006 (at a profit) and buy our current home, which is pretty awesome! The house is only a few blocks from where we live now, so my human passes by it occasionally and even went in for an open house, when the house sold again. The owners who were selling it (not the one who bought it from her - I think that person went broke or something), had made some really nice improvements.Summer at sparklecat.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06624833066564341341noreply@blogger.com
