Hot Fun in the Summertime

July is already here and soon we be hearing fireworks all over. My peeps consider themselves lucky because of where we live. We can usually see NYC fireworks from our window or down in the courtyard. Me? I'm not so lucky. While loud noises in the hall send me scurrying to my office UTB, I don't seem to mind loud noises outside, including fireworks. I've gotten used to hearing the jackhammers and other assorted noises all night as they repair the Lincoln Tunnel helix. Those are noises that the peeps can't get used to.

TW was born in July well over a hunnert years ago. It's also the month that MLB holds the All Star Game. While the game is usually boring, TW likes the watch the player innerductions. Of course this year the only Yankee who deserves to be an All Star is Mariano Rivera. This year's game takes place in NY at Shitty Citi Field where the Mutts Mets play.

I hope you like my July calendar, which you can biggify and print out by clicking on it. There are 3 CK's playing on the beach! Look at CK balance on those rocks! Whoa! I don't get along with other cats but I do play well with other CKs. Heh-heh. Did you expect me to say I like playing with myself? HAH!

  8. Should have mentioned in my comment yesterday, we used to have a "Tuxedo" kitty like you. He was a boy, though. His name was Buster and he was a very sweet natured cat. You front legs especially remind me of him. I used to love looking at how the dark grey spot on one leg matched up with the spot on the other -- just like yours! You are gorgeous.

  9. I love your July calendar CK! We don't love fireworks and since they are legal here this is one of the few times we are hoping for pouring rain!

  10. Love the calendar.

Your humans are lucky being able to see the fireworks from home. For my humans to get close would involve getting all mixed up in traffic jams. So they often substitute by going to local fireworks instead on a different night and watch NYC ones on tv.

I have nominated you for an award! Come on over and find out about it.

  17. You look great on the beach CK! Good thing you don't mind those fireworks. Of course, a cat like you wouldn't be scared of some little fireworks anyways ;) Shiner's not scared either. She still can't be outside with them because she will try to bite them...

  19. Bad joke, CK! MOL!

Yes, Mr. Rivera DOES deserve to be in the All-Star Game. MomKatt's already geared up, hoping that Max Scherzer will be pitching at least one inning, Miggy getting some hits and she can't wait to get AL home field advantage. :) And the Home Run Derby ... you know me, I'm just concerned about Baseball Lap Time!

Happy early birthday to TW! May she live another hunnert years!

We think of you whenever we catch a Yanks game.

    Purrz!

  20. LOVE your calendar page CK! And yeah, it takes talent to be able to balance on those slippery rocks like that. You da kitteh!

My kitties have a major freak out when the fireworks start, so I am not a fan of the Fourth.

  22. Triple the pleasure, triple the fun, with Ck, Ck, Ck my Hon! No I don't has a little prayer rug of my furry own, CK! Do you pray to Ceiling Cat on it? Is it comfy?

  23. It's always best to clone yourself when you don't get along with other kitties. That way you have playmates who are totally under your control and whose personalities you can totally understand. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette

  24. Yeh! A cloned CK is more catitude to spread around! If TW is more than a hunnert years old, she might be nearly as old as my human! I have it on good authority that she saw the signing of the Magna Carta whatever that is!!!

  25. You're welcome to come visit us in our small, but REALLY, REALLY NOISY Fireworks-Central small town anytime that just happens to have fireworks available to shoot off for months on end so you can show us how not to be bothered by all the LOUD pops and booms! That'd be cool....purrs...

  26. Hello my Lovely! It's about 58 here, and the Human was supposed to go visit some friends in Fresno over the long weekend. At 7 p.m. tonight, it was STILL 106 there. The Human has decided NOT to abandon me after all. Sometimes she's not as dumb as she looks.
